Chapter 21: The Endgame of Boredom

"The final challenge begins!" The alien announced excitedly, with invisible sparks twinkling in his eyes.

Xiao Li raised his brow and had a playful smile on his lips. "Are you ready? I wanted to show how charming and boring the buzz of cleaning is!" He mimics shaking a washing machine with a hand gesture, as if the sound had bored the whole office.

"Is that boring? I'll have one!" Xiao Zhang immediately took up the conversation, "I came up with a machine that can make anything boring, like a device that can make soda no longer bubble!" As he spoke, he made a gesture with his hand, almost as if he were displaying a work of art.

"Wow, that's an amazing idea!" We clapped in unison and fell into another burst of laughter. "But I think you should give it a name, like 'Blisterless antidote'!" I joked, stirring everyone's minds. In this relaxed atmosphere, more creative ideas began to emerge.

The alien probe also seems to feel our enthusiasm, emitting a faint chirp. "Keep exploring. Your imagination is the key to the game." "He encouraged, his eyes wandering around each of his colleagues in anticipation of our boring feast.

'Wait a minute, let me do it! I can't wait to pitch my idea. "I'm going to invent a 'boredom tracker' designed to capture boring stories so that people who walk around can feel the smell of boredom." The office erupted in laughter again, and my sudden inspiration enveloped everyone like a mist of fearless humor.

"Boredom tracker? Ha ha, how creative!" The aliens nod their heads in excitement, as if this thing could cure the boredom of the whole universe. His reaction made us all laugh out loud.

"But I think it's like finding joy in boredom." Xiao Li patted me on the shoulder and then said solemnly, "If we can really invent this, we might as well just make it the official mascot of the company and see it in everyday boring moments." He pretended to be thoughtful, as if he were seriously considering his career future.

"The days of being tracked by boring trackers, that's the real nightmare!" Xiao Zhang was joking, but I could see the excitement in his eyes. "Imagine a day when everyone in the office is walking around with a 'tracker' in hand, discussing what is the most boring situation."

Just as we were reveling in our own boring ideas, the alien waved his hand and started asking us to come back to focus. His voice suddenly became serious. "I think what you need to think about more is the deeper meaning behind these boring ideas." I'm a little surprised, considering we're just having fun.

"Oh, aliens can talk, do you want us to set a purpose for boredom?" "I quipped. The result was a burst of laughter, and the aliens were also frustrated by our reaction.

"Of course, it's easy to be more boring!" The alien responded disapprovingly, and then once again hung an expectant look on his face, "But we still have time to continue to raise the challenge, next, you please continue." He smiled and looked at Xiao Zhang, and the burning expectation raised the atmosphere to another level. At this point, everyone held their breath in anticipation of how the next boring adventure would unfold.

"Well, it's my turn next!" Xiao Zhang stood up excitedly, his face full of confidence. "The idea I came up with was the Boredom Estimator, an amazing device that helps people estimate how bored they are in all sorts of things." As he spoke, he gesticulated as if the device were suspended in the air.

"What kind of device would that be? Can you tell me how boring my office lunch was?" Xiao Li joked, his eyes shining mischievously. Xiao Zhang responded seriously: "Of course! Just put the food in and it gives you a boredom index based on color, taste and pairing, which is guaranteed to make you lose your appetite." A burst of laughter broke out again, and a light atmosphere permeated the office.

"Boredom is calculable? What a great idea!" I couldn't help but interject, raising my eyebrows and teasing, "I wonder if it can calculate how boring your fight with Aunt Tomato is." Everyone could not help laughing again, and the atmosphere became more and more hot. Xiao Zhang is learning the appearance of aliens, pretending to be serious. "Of course! Just write the aunt's name and give you an astronomical number at once!"

Just then, the alien caught our attention with a gentle clap of his hand. "You boring builders, listen! The next challenge is for you to get creative and come up with a really boring activity. If the activity makes you so bored you want to sleep, then it's a success!" There was excitement in his voice, and it was clear that the proposal had caught everyone's attention.

"That sounds interesting!" Xiao Li was the first to express his opinion. He sat down, took out a pen, and wrote, thinking, "I think a boring activity would be for people to experience how to count the thickness of paper for a whole day and see what conclusions can be reached!" His idea immediately triggered their own thinking, and everyone began to tell their own ideas.

At this time, the alien gently nodded in agreement, "Good! You can make this as boring as possible in your own way. Remember, the more boring, the closer to success!" The office was once again filled with creativity, and everyone began to tap into their boring potential, as if in this challenge, the banality of life had been given new meaning.

"I've thought of an absolutely boring activity!" Xiao Zhang said excitedly, his eyes shining with extraordinary inspiration. "We could organize a 'Watch the dust Fall' contest! Everyone look for a position where they can watch the dust fall, then record the time throughout and see who can last the longest!" He waved his hands excitedly, as if this were going to be a spectacular performance like a golden toad with a fringe.

"It's nice, but I think I could be more boring." Xiao Li then stood up and couldn't wait to say, "We can try a 'counting contest', asking everyone to count from one to one thousand, and record who can endure the longest." And, if someone shows up halfway through, you have to start over!" As he spoke, he made a look of extreme earnestness that provoked laughter.

"Wait a minute, you don't understand! Counting is so exciting, what we want is the ultimate boredom that shuts people out!" I joined the discussion, thought hard, and finally suggested, "I have an idea. We could do a 'boring post office' simulation, where everyone would send letters to themselves, only to open them the next day." The idea was recited in the office, and there was a silence of thought.

"Wow, that sounds so boring!" Xiao Zhang pretended to be surprised, "But I like it! Imagine all of us excitedly discussing what we had written for this letter!" The alien leaned aside and seriously praised: "This activity is definitely in line with my expectations, and it will certainly leave a strong mark on the boring map."

"Then it's decided!" I'm excited to announce, "For the next week, each of us will contribute our own boring ideas to the Boring Activity Contest!" Cheers rang out in the office, as if everyone had found the bright spot in life. I feel warm in the heart, perhaps, it is in this boring exchange, just found another wonderful life.

As time goes by, each of us is boiling up ideas for the upcoming event. And in this piece of laughter, the alien has revealed the kind of expectation and mysterious eyes, it seems to be brewing what has not yet been revealed the secret.

"So, who will be responsible for arranging the details of this' boring activity contest '?" "Xiao Li asked expectantly, as if he had seen his name illuminated in glory.

"I'll do it! I'm confident in the control of boredom." I volunteered, secretly delighted that I could finally be a director in this boring orgy.

"Be careful not to turn this event into a paradise." "We're not here to have fun," Xiao Zhang said with a laugh. "Don't try to add to the boredom!"

"Don't worry, I will strictly control the limits of boredom and make sure that every part of the process is full of boredom." I responded with a smile as I began to work out every detail of the event - from the timing to the content design - that would definitely make you want to sleep.

"So, do we still need judges?" The alien suddenly interjected with a mischievous divine light in his eyes, "How about I serve as the judge to ensure fairness and justice!" His proposal made everyone laugh. After all, he had a different standard of boredom.

"Good idea! Aliens to score, guaranteed fun!" I agreed, and more ideas flashed through my mind. "In that case, we can choose the best boring activity at the end of the event, and the winner can get the title of 'Boring Star' or just send a boring kit!"

Everyone had fun, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was during this boring challenge that we bonded more closely with each other. Perhaps, life is like this, in the alternation of boredom and joy, unexpected interest gradually appears. Then, once again, I realized that such a small episode may be the starting point of my escape from ordinary life, and the journey of roaming in dreams has quietly begun.
