Lily
My alarm clock woke me up the next morning after I slept like a baby. I reached out my arm to my side, but I didn’t find anyone there. I don’t hear the shower running either. I sighed and rolled myself out of bed. I got dressed and walked to the kitchen, where I saw the coffee ready with a note stuck to it.
‘Need to take care of business. Will pick you up at 6PM on Friday.
Looking forward to seeing you again. Love, M’
I smiled when I took the note off the coffee and held it close to my heart for a second. Too bad Friday meant I would still be without him for a few days. The memories of yesterday would be enough to keep me going for a bit. Up to the office it is!
I admit I had been hiding in my office the last few days, desperately trying to avoid Simon and Tommaso who were now running the show in the bank. For some reason, they had left me alone for most of the time. I didn’t understand why, but I wasn’t complaining about that.
