Jenny POV:
I dialed Annie's number, the phone ringing in my ear as I waited for her to answer. Her warm voice filled the line, "Hi Jenny, how have you been?"
We exchanged pleasantries, our conversation flowing like a gentle stream. But then Annie's tone turned mischievous, "Did you talk to my brother?"
I hesitated, unsure where this was leading. "Yes, I did."
Annie's laughter tinkled through the phone, "Well, that's good. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure he'll ask you out today or tomorrow."
My curiosity piqued, "Ask me out? What did you tell him?"
Annie's response was cryptic, "Nothing, just wait and see."
I shifted gears, focusing on my pressing concern, "Annie, I need your help with something. I need a good lawyer to stop my aunt from taking Dad's restaurant."
Annie's tone turned professional, "Noted, anything else?"
I declined, "No, thanks Annie."
Her parting words left me puzzled, "Save your thanks for him."
