RELEASE MY BRIDE

The sounds of firecrackers rang out joyfully, echoing through the air like celebratory fireworks. As Kendrick and his groomsmen approached the room where Amelia was waiting, they were met with a closed door and a rowdy chorus from the bride's entourage inside.

"Come on! Pass the red envelopes!" the women cheerfully demanded, laughter lacing their voices. "We will release the bride if your red envelope passes our gauge!"

Kendrick exchanged a knowing glance with his groomsmen before signaling them to pass the red envelopes through the slightly opened door. Each envelope, carefully prepared, was handed over with hopeful anticipation.

The door slammed shut again as soon as the envelopes were received. The bridesmaids, delighted, counted the hundred thousand inside each envelope. However, Nerissa, ever the playful instigator, decided it wasn't enough.
