Rise of Praetorian Guard Chapter

Soon, the troops from the 755th Regiment of Cadia arrived at the location and secured the tanks containing the drinking water supplies. Shield Host Commander Arcturus also descended with full force from the Gilded Fist Shield Host Company to ensure that there was no cheating or interference from any party.

Dante fell silent as he watched Inquisitor Herashel's body being taken away, a cultist having successfully sniped and killed the Inquisitor. Shield Host Commander Arcturus could only pat Dante on the shoulder, his gesture conveying that their mission had been accomplished perfectly.

"Shield Host Commander... I..." Dante began, but Arcturus interrupted, saying, "We'll discuss this later at the Tower of Hegemont." Arcturus then turned his gaze to the large tanks filled with clean water being taken to their rightful place. Mirabela and Hunter, who were behind Dante, promptly left the scene to report to the Assassin Master.

The entire Gilded Fist Host Company returned to the Sanctum of Thousand Eyes, while Dante, accompanied by Shield Host Commander Arcturus, headed straight to the Tower of Hegemont upon arrival. Trajann Valoris was coordinating with the Terra Administratum to ensure that the issue of the stolen water supply by the cultists wouldn't escalate into a major problem.

"Good job, Dante, on resolving the issue of the missing water supply," Trajann Valoris commended.

"He's indeed suited for field tasks," Arcturus added.

"Of course, it's his specialization. It's about time you had your own force," Trajann Valoris remarked.

"Arcturus, do you remember the new Primaris Marine who arrived recently?" Trajann inquired.

"I do, why?" Arcturus responded.

"I have an idea, but this time I need to discuss it with Lord Roboute. Dante, you'll rest for now. It seems the Emperor wants to have a word with you," Trajann Valoris said.

"Huh?" Dante reacted.

"Hahaha, the Emissary earlier said that the Emperor is seeking, and Emissaries can meet with the Emperor when they are meditating," Arcturus explained.

"Then I will rest," Dante said as he headed to his quarters.

Once back in his room, Dante removed his armor and placed his Guardian Spears in their designated spot before resting, preparing to meet the Emperor of Mankind.

"I've heard of your performance. Even though you've become a Custodes, you haven't forgotten who you are," the Emperor said.

"Ah, that's still nothing. I prefer being in the field rather than at the Imperial Palace," Dante replied.

"There's a newly formed Primaris Marine Chapter, and I see they're still quite new to the battlefield," the Emperor said.

"I've also heard that from Captain General Trajann Valoris. They seem to be successors of the Ultramarines or the Imperial Fists," Dante replied.

"It seems you do like Fleet-based Chapters, as you've always had a penchant for adventure," the Emperor of Mankind remarked.

"More precisely, I can immediately aid the Imperium of Mankind. I can sense that this dimension is suffering," Dante said.

"Could it be you..." the Emperor of Mankind began to ask.

"Oh... you sense it too? Indeed... I understand and practice Dao," Dante replied.

"I thought Dao was just a religious understanding because there's no logical explanation for it," the Emperor said.

"You need to delve deeper into it if that's the case..." Dante replied.

"As for the Inquisitor..." Dante continued.

"War will always claim casualties, whether directly or indirectly," the Emperor said.

"Return now. Tomorrow, it seems there will be some tension between you and Roboute," the Emperor said. Dante immediately returned from the Warp and rested.

The next morning, Dante prepared as usual and headed straight to the Tower of Hegemon. Roboute Guilliman was in heated discussion with Trajan Valoris. It seemed that the newly formed Primaris Marine Chapter was being handed over to the Custodes.

"The Emperor himself desires the Praetorian Chapter to be alongside Custodes Dante," Trajann Valoris stated.

"Father has some strange requests. But why is Custodes Dante being given a Space Marine chapter?" Guilliman questioned.

"Custodes Dante is tasked with adventuring to assist the Empire's forces out there," Trajann Valoris explained.

"We are besieged from all sides ourselves, not to mention the lack of news from the Imperium Nihilus since the Cicatrix Maledictum opened," Trajann Valoris added.

"Father... Father... why does it have to be like this?" Lord Guilliman lamented.

"The Emperor's decree is final, even the Emissary confirmed it," Trajann Valoris reiterated.

"But they're still new, with no experience in warfare at all," Lord Guilliman argued.

"That's precisely why. I believe they can learn and fulfill their duties while also learning from their mistakes," Dante chimed in.

"So, a Trial by Fire right away? That's Dante's style of combat from the beginning... very well then," Lord Guilliman sighed.

"Dante, can you join me? I will take you to their Capital Ship currently orbiting Holy Terra," Lord Guilliman said as he exited the Tower of Hegemon. Dante followed Lord Guilliman as they walked towards the Thunderhawk Transport.

The Thunderhawk quickly took off and headed out into space, where a Gloriana Class Battleship was preparing in the atmosphere of Holy Terra. The Thunderhawk promptly requested permission to land due to the VIP guest it was carrying. The Battleship granted clearance, and the Thunderhawk entered the hangar. Lord Guilliman led Dante to the command room, where all the members of the Chapter were preparing and cleaning their Bolter Rifles. Lord Guilliman and Dante proceeded to the command room, where they encountered a young Space Marine with red and blue eyes, wearing blue power armor with a shield emblem and two spears. The Space Marine had short black hair with a blue fringe.

"Chapter Master Yorrenzu," Lord Guilliman spoke, "Primarch, welcome aboard the Stars Voyager," Chapter Master Yorren replied, kneeling. "Rise, Chapter Master. I have news for you," Lord Guilliman continued. "The Praetorian Shield Chapter will now be fully under the command of Custodes Dante. Any mission given by him is a direct order from the Emperor of Mankind," Lord Guilliman announced.

"Lord Guilliman, but our Chapter is not yet ready for its first mission. We still need to find suitable recruits to join our ranks," Chapter Master Yorrenzu expressed concern.

"I will assist and aid in the recruitment process for your Chapter. Conduct it according to tradition, and whatever the Chapter does," Dante interjected.

"With pleasure, honored Custodes," Chapter Master Yorren replied.

"In that case, I'll take my leave. Dante, please look after them. If there are any issues, I authorize you to deal with them decisively," Lord Guilliman stated before leaving the command room and heading to the hangar.

"Could you tell me about this Space Marine Chapter?" Dante inquired.

"Of course, Custodes Dante. This Chapter is still new and is the successor to the Ultramarine Legion. As for specialization, I'm still not entirely sure as the Chapter is still new. However, following the Ultramarine tradition, we can adapt to battlefield developments and utilize any weaponry," Chapter Master Yorren explained.

"Very well then. Do you have a Homeworld?" Dante asked.

"Indeed, our Homeworld is located in the Desert of Citadel IV," Chapter Master Yorren replied.

"Has Lord Guilliman left the Stars Voyager?" Dante inquired further.

"It seems he has just returned to Holy Terra," the Chapter Master responded.

"In that case, let's depart. It's time for this Chapter to begin its duties," Dante declared.
