The next day, after the welcoming feast, Dante saw the boys who had been selected as aspirants being taken to the hangar. Some of the Battle Brothers were escorting the children to a desert. 


“It’s already started, hasn’t it?” Dante asked Chief Librarian Souta. 


“Yes, they have begun the exposure training. What did you choose...” Souta replied. 


“I never chose a champion for this Chapter; I only helped with the recruitment. Whether they survive or die during exposure training is up to them,” Dante said. 


“Custodes Dante, the Chapter Master is calling you. There is a communication from the Inquisitor,” a Battle Brother announced as he approached. 


“Alright then, I’ll head to the command room right away,” Dante said, hurrying toward the command room. 


“Inquisitor, you know we are under the command of a Custodes, and we’re a new Space Marine Chapter, right?” Chapter Master Yorren asked.
