The First Fight but it went wrong (04)

Tamim lay in his bed, his body shaking as veins on his skin glowed faintly.

His eyes were tightly shut.

Sunlight poured through the window, striking his face.

As it did, the shaking and glowing subsided, and his eyes shot open.

He gasped for air, his breathing heavy and erratic.

"What the hell...?" Tamim whispered as he raised his hand and stared at it in disbelief.

"Was it a dream?" he thought, sitting up and taking in his surroundings. He was back in his room.

"I guess it was… but the pain felt so real. I've never had a dream like that before," Tamim thought as he got out of bed.

" Even tho i can't remember how i felt but all i can remember that i felt pain but now it feels like it has faded away"

He looked at his bed and saw his phone which was on the ground.

" But the problem is, I slept right here and that means the superpower thing is real?"thought Tamim while picking up his phone, only to see that it had switched off.

"Switched off? It was fully charged as i can remember " he muttered, plugging his phone in to charge. But then, yesterday's events rushed back into his mind.

"Oh… I almost forgot about what happened yesterday," Tamim said aloud, touching his face and feeling moisture.

"Why is my face wet?" he wondered. "I should wash up first."

He headed to the washroom, splashing water on his face. "Even if the power thing is real, even if I have power, why should I care? It's probably better not to."

Tamim glanced up at the mirror, and without warning, a sharp pain stabbed into his head. His vision blurred as an image flooded his mind.

He saw a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers and fluttering butterflies. But in an instant, the garden began to warp. The flowers turned a deep, sinister red, as if soaked in blood. The grass beneath his feet dissolved into pools of blood and shattered bones, while thick, crimson liquid poured out of the once-beautiful blossoms.

The vision ended with a sharp, glass-breaking sound. Tamim snapped back to reality and saw the mirror in front of him shattered, his hand bleeding from the impact.

Yet, as he watched, his hand began to heal on its own. In a matter of seconds, the wound was gone, and his skin had returned to normal. He stared at his hand in disbelief.

After sixteen days had passed since then, in Nighttime the road was busy with people walking and some people were driving. The sky was clear and the moon's light was hitting the ground.

Tamim strolled down the dimly lit street, lost in thought. "Ever since that day... I realized there's something different about me. Something unnatural. Scientifically, it shouldn't be possible, but here I am, with no clue what it all means."

He stopped in front of a vending machine, selecting a cold drink labeled 'Rin'. As the can clinked into the slot, his mind raced again. "I can move objects just by thinking, but it works best when I move my hands along with it. My body heals from injuries almost instantly, and I can teleport... though it still feels strange. Anywhere I focus and want to appear , I make my gaze fixed long enough with the intention to appear , I can just appear there."

Tamim pulled out his phone, the screen illuminating his face as he flicked it on.

"Tomorrow's my university entrance exam, but these days… I don't even feel hungry or tired anymore. It's like I've lost those basic sensations."

He paused, sipping the cold drink. "I guess it's helped me study. At least I have more control now."

His mind wandered back to an incident from a few days ago—he had walked into a large gaming room filled with high-end equipment. Rows of desks held powerful PCs, all humming with activity.

"Tamim, bro? Is that you? What's up? " A girl with long, dyed-pink hair and headphones turned as he entered.

"Yo, Tamim. Didn't expect to see you here." A boy with curly light brown hair and a pair of gaming headphones gave him a nod.

Tamim shrugged, strolling toward an empty gaming chair. "No reason really, I just came to pass the time. I was feeling bored."

The curly-haired boy leaned back in his chair, grinning. "Your exam's in a few days, right?"

Before Tamim could answer, the door burst open. Another boy, this one with spiky black hair, stormed in, his eyes narrowing in on Tamim. "Look who's here. The selfish one."

"Rocky, what's your problem?" the pink-haired girl, Riya, asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He shows up now? Seriously? If Tamim actually cared about his studies, he'd leave this esports stuff behind. His absence is only going to make things harder for the rest of us. And now he's just here to kill time?" Rocky snapped.

Riya stood up for Tamim. "You're the only one who feels that way, Rocky. And it's only specifically about Tamim because Fahim is also studying and he is also in practice for a long time "

"Exactly! Tamim bro can solo any of us in-game, no problem if he is unable to practice for a few days " the curly-haired boy added with a chuckle.

While they were talking, Tamim's eyes fell on a water bottle sitting on the desk. He reached for it, but before his hand could even touch it, the bottle flew into his grasp, as though pulled by an unseen force. He tried to hide his reaction, but his mind was racing.

"Ever since that day, I knew if I didn't figure out these abilities, things would only get worse. That's why I've been staying home, trying to understand what I am."

His thoughts were interrupted by the blaring siren of a police car speeding down the street.

Tamim's eyes followed the car as it swerved, chasing after a bullet-riddled truck. The truck was speeding recklessly, its tires screeching as it weaved through traffic. From the passenger window, a man leaned out, firing bolts of light at the police, hitting the driver.

The police car careened into a nearby wall, crashing with a deafening thud. As the crowd gathered, people rushed toward the wreck, trying to help the officers.

One of the cops, bloodied but conscious, managed to explain, "That truck... they've stolen a critical formula and chemical. We couldn't stop them."

Meanwhile, inside the truck, the driver was laughing, clearly high on adrenaline. "Hell yeah! Now it's ours! Once we sell this formula, we'll be swimming in millions!"

As the truck sped away, Suddenly, a human figure dropped from the sky and crashed with the car's front glass breaking the cars front side

"Ouch!!" Tamim muttered as he found himself on the truck, concealed beneath a face mask which he always uses to hide his identity because of his fame as an Esports player.

The assailant, with a laser gun, opened fire.

Tamim swiftly dodged the lights and bullets, his mind racing. "I thought I could escape after stopping the truck, but where are the police? If I get shot, it's over.

I just wanted to stop the truck, not get involved in this mess. Where the hell are the cops?"

One of the shots grazed his arm, but he felt no pain.

Instinctively, he charged forward, disarming the shooter with a swift punch that knocked him unconscious.

Just as he was about to catch his breath, another man in the truck injected himself with something, his body convulsing violently.

Before Tamim's eyes, the man transformed into a hulking, eight-foot monster with glowing red eyes and bulging muscles.

"Oh no... what the hell is that?"*Tamim's heart raced as the beast roared, charging at him with terrifying speed.

He barely had time to react as a massive fist collided with his face, sending him flying into the railing of the bridge.

Pain exploded in his head, and he slumped to the ground, dazed.

"What am I even doing here? My mind dragged me into this, not my will. I'm not a hero. I'm going to die if I keep fighting this thing."

Through the pain, Tamim glanced up, and his eyes widened. The monstrous figure was no longer focused on him. Instead, it was lumbering toward a small child who had wandered too close to the chaos, its massive hand reaching out to crush the terrified girl kid.

Reacting swiftly, Tamim teleported to shield the child from harm, his arms instinctively wrapping around the trembling boy.

With a sharp intake of breath, they vanished in an instant, reappearing several meters away from the carnage.

"I know , every time I try to do something good, the universe finds a way to punish me," Tamim muttered under his breath, his frustration barely concealed.

But before he could gather his thoughts, the monstrous creature began charging toward them, its colossal footsteps shaking the very ground beneath.

Panic flickered in the child's eyes as she clung tighter to Tamim, his small voice trembling, "Please save me."

The girl's desperate plea struck Tamim like a bolt of lightning. For a brief moment, time seemed to slow, and a thought raced through his mind" But..I have to protect everyone here before the police, the Supercop, or the Soul Sorcerer arrives. No one else is coming."

Summoning every ounce of courage, Tamim teleported closer to the beast, determined to fend it off despite the towering odds.

His first punch, aimed squarely at the creature's chest, was intercepted with terrifying ease.

The monster's enormous hand closed around Tamim's fist, crushing it with unnatural strength before lifting him effortlessly and slamming him into the concrete.

A deafening 'crack' echoed through the air as Tamim's back collided with the ground.

The world around him blurred, but before he could even register the pain, the creature delivered several more bone-shattering blows.

Each impact rattled the bridge beneath them, sending tremors through the jam-packed traffic below.

Blood poured from Tamim's mouth, his body a battered mess. His mind screamed at him to escape, but he was pinned down, helpless against the onslaught.

As the monster raised its fist for a final, devastating punch, Tamim's instincts kicked in.

He teleported just in time, reappearing behind the beast and delivering a desperate kick to the back of its skull.

The monster didn't even flinch.

In a blur of motion, it swung its arm backward, landing a brutal punch to Tamim's gut.

The force sent him crashing into a nearby bus, the vehicle buckling under the impact. Groaning in pain, Tamim slumped to the ground, the metallic taste of blood filling his mouth. "This is insane," he thought, gasping for breath. "I need to get this thing away from people, or they'll all die because of me."

Staggering to his feet, he yanked himself out of the wreckage and teleported behind the creature once more. Wrapping his arms around its midsection, he scanned the area for an escape.

His eyes landed on an empty park beside the bridge—a safer battleground. With a strained grunt, he teleported them both to the park.

The moment they reappeared, the monster seized Tamim's arm and hurled him to the ground with brutal force. Before Tamim could even think about getting back up, the creature was upon him, raining down punches like hammer blows.

Each strike crushed bone, tore flesh, and left Tamim choking on his own blood. His body convulsed under the onslaught, the pain overwhelming. The world around him became a whirl of agony as he struggled to even breathe.

Every punch distorted his face further, his right eye swelling shut, leaving him blind on one side. He couldn't move, couldn't fight back—the creature was relentless, and Tamim was nothing more than a punching bag.

Every attempt to teleport or dodge ended with him being slammed back into the ground, thrown like a rag doll across the park. Blood stained the grass beneath him, pooling in dark, sickly patches. His body was bruised, broken, and battered beyond recognition.

"Why the hell am I here? What am I even doing? I wasn't supposed to help anyone. I was supposed to be home. My stupid act is going to kill me now. Every time I try to do something good, I end up in a worse mess than before.

Despair clawed at his thoughts as he felt consciousness slipping. "If I survive this, I swear I'll never help anyone again."

Just as his vision began to darken, a sudden shadow moved in the periphery of his good eye.

A figure appeared, a blur of motion too fast to comprehend, and in an instant, the relentless blows stopped.

Tamim's head lolled to the side, his battered face barely able to register what was happening.

Through the haze of pain and blurred vision, he saw the mysterious figure deliver a powerful strike with hand electricity that sent the monster crashing to the ground.

The earth trembled as the creature's monstrous form began to shrink, reverting back to its original human state.

It lay still, unconscious, as the unknown savior stood over it, victorious. But before Tamim could make out any details of his rescuer, the figure vanished, as if they were never there.

But after vanishing Tamim felt a touch from his back but the touch disappeared as soon as Tamim felt the touch.

Tamim suddenly felt a boost in his healing and his body began to heal.

Sirens wailed in the distance, growing louder with each passing second

His one good eye healing rapidly, Tamim groaned as he forced himself to sit up. "Police... They're coming. I need to get out of here."

He glanced at a nearby building, its roof five stories high.

With a sharp inhale, he vanished from the park and reappeared on a rooftop beside the park , his body still aching but slowly mending itself.

Leaning against the edge of the roof, Tamim winced as his injuries throbbed.

"This pain... It's like nothing I've ever felt before. Still I am alive somehow."His entire body ached with every breath, every slight movement. "I swear... I'll never use my powers again, no matter what happens."

After several moments of agonizing recovery, Tamim teleported home, collapsing onto his sofa, his torn clothes and battered appearance betraying the horrors of the night.

His body might heal, but the weight of the ordeal hung heavy over him. Staring at the ceiling, he muttered, "I have an exam tomorrow, and now I've gotten myself tangled in this mess."

The next day—

At Dhaka Business University, Tamim stood amongst a crowd of hopeful students and their parents, barely paying attention to the bustling scene around him.

His thoughts were consumed by the events of the previous night. "The exam was easy," he thought absentmindedly, "but some people are saying it's hard, but don't know how the exam felt easy to me. Somehow my brain was able to remember everything i studied"

He stood in front of a signal.

His focus drifted to a girl nearby, her voice shaking as she spoke to her parents. "Mom, I don't think I'll get in. It was my dream to study here, but the exam was just too hard."

Tamim sighed, distracted by her words, when suddenly he heard a metallic 'clang' behind him.

Turning, he spotted a tennis ball hurtling toward him, the iron fence of the court bent and broken from the force of the shot.

Without thinking, Tamim's hand shot up, catching the ball in mid-air just before it could hit him.

He stared at it for a moment, his eyes narrowing as the boy from the court ran over, apologizing profusely.

"I'm sorry, sir! I didn't mean to—"

"It's fine," Tamim replied, his voice cold, handing the ball back. But as he did, he noticed the ball—despite having broken through the iron fence—was completely unharmed.
