Unknown Attack (09)

"Some secrets aren't as hidden as you think. There are connections... invisible threads between people. Sometimes, they lead us to truths we weren't meant to find."

"What do you mean by that? And why the hell are you talking like you know so much about me?" Tamim snapped, his suspicion growing.

"Not a lot, but enough," Faria replied calmly. "It's not that hard to figure out. Sure, the details about your family may have been buried, but if people wants to know, they can. After your parents' deaths, the information wasn't exactly impossible to know "

"Stop talking in riddles. I don't like vague explanations," Tamim retorted, his voice sharp.

Faria sighed, locking eyes with him. "Alright, if you want it clear... Your father, Dr. Tanvir, was the chief scientist of Project SUP-13. He was a genius who saved millions of lives with his work, and the world knows that his death was no accident—it was orchestrated by his friend. You're his son. Finding out about you is like fishing in a river. The fish might be underwater, out of sight, but they're not impossible to catch."

Tamim's mind raced. "No way... my family's information was hidden from every record for my safety from Shohan . No one's supposed to know who I am. Except for a few people who knew me and some people from the government, no one knows I'm Dr. Tanvir's son," he thought.

"Who the hell are you, really?" Tamim demanded. "Are you some kind of government agent or a superhuman spy?"

Faria's expression didn't waver. "I can't tell you everything about me yet, but no, I don't work for the government or anyone . If I had to sum it up, I'm slightly like you, someone with personal conflict with Dr. Shohan. It's hard to do my work alone, but i don't work with anyone"

Tamim narrowed his eyes. "Oh, I get it. You want to team up, huh? Use me to get to Shohan?"

Faria shook her head. "No, that's not why I reached out. If an enemy's truly unbeatable, it's pointless to fight them. But you? You're the problem that can make the enemy truly unbeatable ."

"That's a load of crap. What kind of answer is that?" Tamim shot back, irritation creeping into his voice.

"It's your healing ability," Faria continued, ignoring his outburst.

Tamim with confusion asked . "And what's that got to do with anything?"

"Remember what Kabila said? Dr. Shohan is using the blood and DNA of people with powers to create superhumans. What he really needs is the blood of someone who can heal themselves."

Tamim asked " And what's wrong with my healing ability?"

"His current drugs only last for thirty minutes, and electricity is their weakness. When I hit that monster with an electric charge, it turned back into a human. If Shohan gets ahold of your blood, he'll be able to create the perfect monster—one that heals, one that can't be stopped."

Tamim crossed his arms, scoffing. "That's what you're worried about? No one can take my blood. When I heal, any dropped blood regenerates. It's no danger to me."

Faria's expression darkened. "That's what makes it worse. He'll kill you first, take your blood or DNA, and then make an unstoppable monster out of you."

"I've got a million questions right now, but this girl seems to be thinking two steps ahead," he thought.

"So what? You want me to stay home, hide away like a coward?" Tamim said, defiance in his tone.

"Not even close," Faria replied with a smirk. "I'm pretty sure they've already got our faces, anyway. That sniper had a camera on his cap. Oh, and at the bus stop when we first talked—I found a voice recorder chip. They've planted those chips all over the city. I've found hundreds. Even if you do nothing, they'll still come after you."

Tamim felt a wave of frustration surge through him. "Wait, so you're telling me I'm in this mess because of you? Is that what you're saying?"

Faria shrugged. "Maybe. Depends on how you see it. If you want to blame me, go ahead. It's your call."

Tamim stared at her for a moment, then sighed. "I don't know who the hell you are, but I'm not blaming anyone right now. I just need information on Dr. Shohan. All of it."

Faria paused, seemingly weighing her next words. "You're quick to cut to the chase, huh? Look, I've been dealing with this for a long time, and I'm used to fighting alone. I wasn't planning on dragging you into this."

"Hold up. You just said staying home and doing nothing won't help. If you didn't want me involved, why'd you even bring it up that day?" Tamim shot back, his patience wearing thin.

"Ah, great. You know what…forget it. I don't have time to explain everything," Faria snapped, clearly frustrated.

"But you have to. You can't just appear and disappear pushing me into shits like this," Tamim shot back, his voice firm.

Faria sighed, glancing at him over her shoulder. "Look, I already told you—I have the same conflict with Dr. Shohan, but my reasons are different. I'm not here for some revenge shit. Dr. Shohan is planning something huge, something far worse than just messing with people's powers. My goal is to stop him before it's too late."

"I didn't ask for your life story," Tamim replied coldly.

"I know. But I'm saying this because I can tell—you don't care about the same things I do. You're after him for something else..I mean things like revenge " Faria said, her tone sharper now.

"So? Your reason sounds more ridiculous than mine. Acting like you're some kind of hero," Tamim scoffed.

Faria shot him a glare, clearly tired of the conversation. "It's useless talking to you," she muttered, turning to leave.

"You're not thinking this through. If you were, you'd understand what I'm trying to say," Tamim called after her, his voice low but commanding.

Faria stopped mid-step, paused, and then slowly turned back. "Fine. I'll give you the information on Dr. Shohan. But after that, we're done. I don't care what you do with it." She hesitated for a moment. "But…"

"But what?" Tamim pressed.

"Just… don't get caught. And don't get killed. If you die and they get your blood or DNA, it's game over for everyone," she warned, her voice colder now. "Meet me tomorrow at 6 a.m. by Butterfly Lake.

I'll give you more details then." Without another word, she disappeared down a side street, leaving Tamim alone with his thoughts.

At Butterfly Lake – The Next Morning

Tamim stood at the edge of the lake, staring out at the calm water. His mind was restless. That girl... whatever her deal is, she's trouble. But I can't afford to ignore her now.

"I thought I was early," he muttered to himself. "But it looks like she beat me here."

Sure enough, Faria's voice rang out from behind him. "You're surprisingly serious about all this."

Tamim turned to face her. "I'm heading to Fahim's house after this. We're supposed to go to work together. So make it quick "

"Spare me the details," Faria cut him off, tossing a file into his hands. "Everything I'm willing to tell you is in there. Not that it'll do you much good."

Tamim flipped through the papers, his brow furrowing. "So there's more you're not telling me?"

"Of course. Why would I tell you everything? You'd do the same in my position," she said, her eyes glinting with a knowing edge.

Before Tamim could respond, a man's voice interrupted them. "Look at these two, trying to solve a problem the entire Bangladeshi government can't fix."

Tamim turned to see three men approaching, smirking confidently.

"Some random kids playing hero," one of the newcomers taunted, his eyes scanning them with disdain.

The men wore strange mechanical devices strapped to their arms, wires snaking into their veins. One pressed a button, and his body twisted, transforming into a grotesque monster.

"We can take them down easily," another man sneered, his voice warped as his transformation began.

"Tamim!" Faria's voice was sharp, snapping him out of his shock. "You need to run. Now! Cover your identity!"

"What? Are you serious? I'm not running," Tamim said, incredulous.

"Why are you even arguing right now?" Faria growled, stepping in front of him. "I can handle three of them. Just get out of here!"

Before Tamim could respond, two of the monstrous figures charged at him, while the third launched itself at Faria.

With one quick punch, Faria incapacitated one of the monsters, but the other two were closing in fast. Tamim reacted instinctively, teleporting to the roof of a nearby building, but one of the monsters quickly locked onto his new position, scaling the walls toward him.

Down below, Faria squared off against the remaining two transformed attackers, her fists blazing with energy.

Meanwhile, Tamim glanced over his shoulder as the monster continued to climb, its eyes glowing with bloodlust.

" What the fuck is going on again?" Tamim thought grimly.
