Reece whined and turned trying hard to find more warmth. His body readily moves to the closest he can feel as he wraps his hands around it.
"This will be the death of me if you should wake up and find us in such a position" Aryan smiles, taking his hands off Reece. The sun was up and he had called for a day off.
Aryan sat up staring at the boy in his arms, as the memories of the previous night came flooding into his mind… Aryan had a stressful day, walking off campus made him yearn for nothing but his bed.
He was more than tired to eat or doing anything else. Aryan stepped down from his car and walked into his apartment, dragging his tired body along. For some reason, he did not feel as comfortable as yesterday.
"I've been waiting," a voice said from above, making him stop abruptly. He did not like it, his body suddenly stiffened as he tried hard to hide his fear.
"You know I hate waiting brother dear" came the voice again. Of Course, Aryan knew he hated waiting the most just as he despised the thought of seeing him or having him around.
"Why are you here?" he demanded, unlocking the door. The voice said things as both men matched into the house slamming the door behind them.
"Don't give me that look, Aryan, we both know you've been dying to have him" Aryan swiftly turned, taking the man by his collar and slamming his back hard to the wall.
"I wanted it, yes… I've always wanted it but not in the way you made me have" his words elicited so much anger, a wide smirk spread across the other's face.
"Oh don't tell me you're angry he now hates you… you are nothing more than what should be hated" Aryan lets his hands loose from the other as he takes steady steps back.
"Arnold, you've always been the perfect son, the one father, and mother who is ready to do anything for his happiness while I have been nothing but your shadow.
I have worked my ass off every time just to have you sabotage it in the end. You've won and yes he hates me... He hates everything about me, even the fact that I breathe.
Thank you brother dear, you made that possible" Arnold sighs, sitting on the couch and crossing over his leg.
He looked everything like his younger twin brother, they shared identical features, but their hearts and wants were nothing like the other.
"Come on, all that matters is you enjoyed it" Aryan was not happy with his choice of words but chose not to dwell on it. Arnold will always be Arnold.
They've never been brothers, always fighting for things and trying to outbeat each other, the thought of them sharing a womb is rather a mystery.
"You should leave, I just got back and am so tired" Aryan announced walking off to his bedroom. He only wanted sleep and some quiet time without Arnold.
"If I were you I wouldn't be worried about getting sleep when father and mother are expecting you over for dinner" Aryan stops abruptly, his hands never reaching the doorknob. It's been years, 5 years since he last saw his parents.
"I don't want to meet them" he quickly dismissed the thought and moved towards his room.
"We both know you can't deny them, not when you just did what you had done 5 years ago…. again" The room suddenly became stuffy.
Aryan turned and there it was... His twin signature smirk. If hating your reflection was a problem Aryan had it. He has never hated anyone like he hated the way he looked.
Every Time he saw his reflection in the mirror he couldn't help but think of the one person who shared it with him.
"I will come" he replies, his voice coming off more like a whisper. There was nothing else to be done and like always he watched his twin leave like he owned the building.
"Dinner" he scoffs. Yes, it will be dinner to them but an interrogation to him.
Like always it will be another season of them downgrading him and showing off their perfectly flawless son. Time ticked so fast for his liking.
As 7 pm rolled by, Aryan became even more desperate to wind back the hands of time. Sitting in his car packed outside his parents' mansion, he sighs for the hundredth time before stepping out. The guard had been staring but seeing he was okay, they all retreated.
Chattering and laughter could be heard from outside the door, Aryan sighs before turning the doorknob and making his way in.
"Aryan... Come hug mother" the aching voice of his mother sounded from the dining section.
"Nana" Aryan quickly walks over to his nanny holding her tight as he buries his head deep into her embrace.
She had always been the only one who had his back and seeing her after so long brought tears to his eyes.
"I am happy to see you're okay" she whispers against his hair carefully, combing it to the back. Aryan has always hated others messing with his hair but not his nana.
"Go eat, they've missed you" she urges him towards the table.
"mother… father" Aryan greets not looking anyone in the eye. He could tell there was tension from his actions but he cared less.
"So you remember you have a mother and a father" his mother scoffs dryly. Aryan pulls out a seat for himself.
"How long was it going to take you to come see us?" his father demanded. "All my life, or at least until you're dead" Aryan dared not say out of his mind.
"I was just putting things together, haven't had time since I got back" he answered burying his eyes on his plate.
"And you haven't… I mean done it again right?" his father asked. Aryan could tell what he was trying to say.
"I'm sorry I being gay annoys you so much. I could walk out of your life and never return. All you have to do is say the word and bomb, I will be gone like I never existed." His tone was rough and stern.
"And have you come back when you need us? No way. I am your father and I will find a suitable woman so you can marry and stop whatever you think you are feeling.
I will not raise a child to be a societal freak" Aryan smiles. Of Course, their words did nothing but pierce through the barrier he had set up.
"Trust me when I say you should be more worried about finding your perfect son, a wife, and not me. I am not the one with a problem"
