A night has never been so frightening as the one Aryan just had. Being sick was one thing but watching someone close to his heart drift in and out of consciousness all through the night was torture he did not wish on his worst enemy.
His private doctor had to come in the heat of the night and thankfully Reece was doing much better. Aryan carefully takes his hands away from him and climbs off the bed.
It was morning and the sun was already up, he didn't have class but he had to make sure Reece had something to wake up to before he began with the handful of medication provided by the doctor.
Reece's eyes shot open, his brain trying to get back memories as his body went into a shock of pain. He whined holding hard to his head which ached so much.
His body felt weak and his eyes blurred a little before adjusting to the lightening of the room, which was the guilty sunlight paving its way from the little cracks of the blinds.
Seeing him all dressed up in warm clothes and carefully tucked in brought a smile to his lips, but just as fast as it came so was it gone.
Reece did not like the familiarity with his environment. He quickly dashed out of bed, miserably falling face flat, his legs too weak to carry him up.
"Hey… why are you up?" a warm voice asked and strong arms lifted him back to the bed. Reece watched the man before him and tucked him in like a 5-year-old ready for nap time.
"Why is it you?" he asked, not meeting the eyes of the man above him. Aryan Turker did not stay close to his neighborhood, not when he bore the surname of the wealthiest in their town. His penthouse was more luxurious and comfortable for him to be around a neighborhood too rigid.
" I … I wanted to see you and …" Aryan tried failing miserably at cooking up a tangible excuse. He had not thought of it while Reece was asleep and mentally slapped himself for that. He could not just blurt it out to the hearing of the boy that he missed him and wanted just a glimpse of him last night.
Aryan knew Reece too well not to tell him the truth, not that it was scary but it was enough to have him not see Reece again. Precaution of the best route hence he grabbed it without a second thought.
"I had a meeting around your area and when I passed by on my way home I happened to run into you crying.." Reece turned to the other end not willing to listen more.
The memories of the previous night flashing before his eyes are too hard for him to forget. His eyes scanned every part of the bedroom avoiding the eyes of the man before him, Reece was too tired to object, but it did not mean he was not going to protest.
He hated being with Aryan despite something within him screaming otherwise. He wishes he could just go home and forget everything.
"I should be going, I have class" Reece stands up trying to keep himself from falling yet again when Aryan pulls him back letting his body fall to the comfort of the bed.
"No class for you or me today. You're not feeling fine and can't go to school, not in this state. We can't have you fainted do we?" Reece snarled.
"Like the first time hadn't been because of you" Aryan chose quiet
. "I will get you something to eat so you can take your medication" he announced walking away. As soon as Reece was sure Aryan was not in sight, he frantically searched everywhere within his reach for his mobile phone.
"I am sure I had it in my pockets last night," he pondered when his clothes came into view.
"Right…he changed my clothes" Reece gritted his teeth hard. Aryan was not a name he liked being around talkless, let him see him naked yet another time.
Reece folded his hands over his chest like an angry wife eager to wait for Aryan's return. The door opens revealing a chifley dressed Aryan carrying a tray of assorted meals.
"Where is it?" Reece asked impatiently. His mobile had so much, he had never been the type to share his worries with his friends and family was not what he could brag about.
All he has ever had is his diary, safely locked on his mobile. Ryan has always had a nasty habit of thrashing through his room hence keeping something so secret within his reach was not the very best idea.
"It's on the bed drawer next to you" Aryan replies, not asking what the boy was requesting. Reece wasted no time in checking the drawers and for the second time he hastily drew out every space and there it was.
"It had not been here when I first checked" Reece mumbled on his breath but Aryan heard him.
"You should eat before it gets cold" Reece turned his head towards the sweet aroma of the plate before him but chose not to swallow his pride
"You sure know how you treat your captives. Beat them, then feed them… what next? Fall in love" Aryan was taken aback by his last words.
"I just want to help," Aryan stated, trying to be as calm as possible.
"Huh.. you want to be calm and play the good guy when I am in this deep shit because of you? How dare you act all nice and calm... How can you sit with yourself knowing how fucked up you've made my life" Reece yelled angrily.
He did not give a damn if the man before him was his teacher, all he knew was this was not the place he wanted to be and the man be him was none other than the devil he should stay as far away from as possible.
"If only you knew Reece… I did not want it to happen... At Least not the way it did"
