Her smile faded.

It was a real risk. But at the same time, it was a limit she could overcome with the right preparation.

"As long as I control the process... nothing can take what's mine."

---------------------

Her experiment had been a success. She now understood the limits of her quirk, something crucial to avoid making stupid decisions, like attempting to absorb people who were too powerful or had an indomitable will, like Star and Stripe herself.

"Well, many of my problems will be solved when 'that' happens. I don't know when, but I'm a genius, so I'm sure I'll make it happen."

Astra said, with an ego bigger than what she didn't have between her legs.

She then administered a sedative to all the subjects of the experiment before leaving her underground lab.

"I'm surprised at how easy it was to get containment capsules and medical equipment. Building a secret lab wasn't difficult either. I just had to shape my hand into a shovel and dig while creating containment beams. At the same time, I used my tail to absorb the excess dirt with my mud quirk and digest it, making it disappear inside me. In the end, it only took me one day to get the basement ready."

Astra smiled proudly as she looked at her work. In just one week, she had accomplished so much.

After her encounter with those three people who tried to overstep with her, she decided to study her quirk in-depth.

During the fight, she noticed that her ability to turn people into candy had a limited range, which led her to investigate further. That's how her lab was born.

The project took a different turn when she remembered that Junko had no quirk. She wondered if she could give her one, just like All For One did, except she would give people turned into candy.

But since it was something she had never tried before, she decided not to use Junko as an experiment.

Over time, more and more people tried to attack her. She didn't know if it was a "system" error, like in a video game, or if she had some kind of aura that attracted criminals, but as long as she didn't attract AFO's attention, she didn't mind.

Some of those attackers had interesting abilities. One of them had a quirk that induced sleep with his saliva, and he used it to commit crimes against young women.

Although he was constantly captured, he was always released, considered a mentally ill person. Until he encountered Astra. She devoured him without hesitation and took his quirk while he screamed for mercy.

Since then, she used it to sedate criminals she captured. At first, many seemed to enjoy it; after all, it was his saliva. And Astra considered herself beautiful… although the enjoyment lasted only until the beginning of the experiments.

The mix of terror and despair in the eyes of her subjects only made Astra blush unintentionally, enjoying her work even more.

Shaking those thoughts off, she went to the surface. She stretched lazily as the artificial light illuminated her skin.

When she arrived, she found Junko waiting for her, dressed in a maid outfit that highlighted her cleavage and exposed much of her thighs. She wore glasses, and her red hair was carefully styled, giving her an elegant and seductive air. Simply beautiful.

"Mistress, I hope there are no dead people down there," Junko joked with a faint smile, making a reference that Astra caught instantly.

Astra stared at her, feeling a strange warmth seeing that neither Junko nor Airi rejected her for not being an angel.

But it made sense. Mother and daughter had survived horrible things. During the time they wandered the streets, they had seen it all: human trafficking, corrupt heroes, murders, mafias, dirty politicians, and the indifference of a world that only cared about itself.

To most people, they were invisible. Vagabonds no one wanted to see. When they were dirty, covered in rags and filth, they went unnoticed.

Sometimes, someone paid them to keep quiet or provide false information.

Junko had, in fact, purposely kept her appearance sloppy. She knew that if she was seen as too attractive, things could become even more dangerous for them.

Her cunning and ability to move as just another vagabond were key to their survival.

And then there was Airi. Although she was barely a child, her mental quirk protected her to some extent.

Once, a man tried to assault Junko. Seeing the scene, Airi reacted instinctively and connected the aggressor's mind to that of a rat.

For a brief moment, the man behaved as if he were truly one of those rodents, moving erratically and nervously. It wasn't clear if it was due to surprise or confusion, but when he regained control, he ran off, terrified, convinced the girl had taken over his mind.

That incident was enough to spread rumors.

They said Airi could control people, bend their wills, and make them destroy each other with just a glance. And that fear was what protected them… at least in part.

No one wanted to risk attacking them directly for fear of either killing each other or falling under the girl's supposed control.

So the solution was simple: leave them to die in that alley. Ignore them until misery did its work.

And that's how it would have been.

If Astra hadn't shown up, Airi would surely have died in a matter of days or weeks, a victim of the cold and malnutrition. And if that happened… it was almost certain that Junko would have followed the same fate, taking her own life.

But Astra changed their fate.

For Junko, she was her savior.

The woman who rescued her from the abyss, who gave her daughter a roof over her head, hot food, and the chance to sleep in a warm bed. The one who allowed Airi to learn, to smile again every day without fear.

Astra had given them all of that… and more.

That's why, when Astra claimed they belonged to her from the moment she took them under her care, Junko didn't doubt or question it.

For her, that statement was completely fair. Astra had given them what no one else had been willing to offer, pulled them out of misery, and gave them purpose.

She belonged to Astra.

She didn't care if the path her savior was walking was right or wrong. She didn't care if her morality twisted, if her thirst for power led her down dark paths.

As long as Astra remained the same person who saved them, as long as her presence meant safety and purpose, Junko would be loyal to her.

Body and soul.

Until the end...

...

....

...

Astra felt Junko's intense gaze on her. It was absolute devotion, an unbreakable fire burning in her eyes.

It was unsettling… but not uncomfortable.

In fact, in a way, it made her feel good.

Throughout her life, Astra had seen many forms of loyalty: the kind at work, the one between friends, the unbreakable trust among comrades… even those described in books. But what she saw in Junko was different.

There was no forced submission or fear disguised as obedience.

It was something pure, determined… almost dangerous.

Junko was someone who had made a decision.

And that decision was Astra.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Astra asked with a sideways smile, raising an eyebrow.

Junko slowly approached, tilting her head to look up at her. Her expression was serene, but determination shone in every feature of her face.

"Because I belong to you," she whispered, her voice firm yet soft, as if she were making a sacred vow.

Astra blinked, surprised. She couldn't stop a faint blush from rising to her cheeks, but instead of looking away, she let a smile form on her face.

Something stirred inside her.

She never imagined that the first time someone swore loyalty to her, it would feel so natural… and, at the same time, so special.

It wasn't just the conviction in Junko's words.

It was the trust in her eyes, almost blind faith.

It was a level of devotion that bordered on the absolute.

It wasn't fear.

It wasn't obligation.

It was gratitude. It was genuine loyalty.

And, in some way, that made Junko even more hers.

Astra lifted a hand and, gently, slid her fingers along Junko's cheek.

Her skin was warm and clean, a contrast to the first time Astra had seen her.

Her hair, once tangled and dirty, was now carefully styled.

Her lips, which had once been pale, cracked, and bitten by desperation, were now healthy and well-formed.

Her maid outfit, spotless and well-fitted, replaced the rags that had once covered her body.

Junko closed her eyes, enjoying the caress.

That simple gesture was a reminder of how much she had changed.

How Astra had transformed her life.

How she had given her purpose.

When she opened her eyes again, Astra was looking down at her with an unreadable expression. And before Junko could react, she felt something warm enveloping her.

Astra had embraced her.

The height difference made Junko's head softly rest between the woman's breasts, and she pressed her face against her, listening to the steady beat of her heart.

Firm. Constant.

Real.

"Then… stay by my side," Astra murmured, her smile turning a little darker. "But remember… you belong to me. But if I ever hurt you… you are free."

Junko smiled.

For her, those words were not a warning.

They were a promise.

[End of Chapter 14]

------------------------

End.

This chapter focused on the connection between Junko and Astra. It may feel quick, but I wanted to show how and why Junko will be so loyal to her. I also included a brief explanation of how the lab was created in the previous chapter and a glimpse into the life of mother and daughter on the streets, reinforcing their relationship.

Connections aren't always built over time, but in key moments. Time only determines how long they last. Junko's connection to Astra is strong because she sees something in her that gives her loyalty meaning, and that's why their bond forms instantly.
