Pi Ruan seemed to be quite familiar with Jiang Cheng and didn't feel awkward. He directly pulled over a chair and sat across from Jiang Cheng. But before he could speak, Jiang Cheng shot him a glance and said, "Take off your sunglasses before you talk to me."

The Fatty thought it would be rude if he left right after Pi Ruan arrived, so he also found a place to sit, but kept some distance from the two.

He didn't want to interfere with the doctor's important work.

Pi Ruan hesitated for a while after hearing Jiang Cheng's request, before reluctantly removing his sunglasses.

The moment he did, the Fatty was immediately stunned.

Pi Ruan's face, which wasn't very handsome to begin with, had several scars, especially on the right side, which looked like they had been scratched by long nails and had just scabbed over.

What shocked the Fatty the most was his left eye, which was so swollen that he could only open it a crack. The area around his eye was bruised and purple, clearly indicating that the punch had been brutal.

Had Pi Ruan been beaten up?

The Fatty couldn't understand. He looked like a person of some status—how could he have been beaten to such a state?

However, Jiang Cheng seemed completely unfazed. He leaned back on the sofa, leisurely assessing Pi Ruan, as if this was something he was accustomed to.

He picked up the cup, took a sip of the water the Fatty had poured earlier, then set it back down and calmly said, "Tell me, what happened this time?"

Pi Ruan said pitifully, "It's that mess with my girlfriend's assets!"

"This time, it was her two granddaughters, and... and that useless grandson!" Pi Ruan seemed to recall the dreadful situation when he was beaten, his lips trembling with anger. "They called me to the hotel, claiming it was to reconcile, and look at this!"

He pointed to the injuries on his face and angrily said, "They played dirty!"

"They wanted to ruin my handsome face so that my girlfriend would distance herself from me!" He gritted his teeth and snorted, "They're dreaming!"

The Fatty increasingly felt something wasn't right and thought Pi Ruan might be trying to live off his girlfriend. But this was the doctor's domain, so the Fatty knew better than to interfere with business matters.

After a few seconds of silence, Jiang Cheng finally spoke up. He struck a pose that the Fatty felt he'd seen before, then casually extended two fingers, shook them, and said, "Two points."

Pi Ruan and the Fatty immediately sat up straight.

The Fatty, in reflex, began searching for paper and pen.

"First," Jiang Cheng lazily glanced at Pi Ruan, "six hundred million should not be called a small asset."

The Fatty froze for a moment, then his face contorted, realizing the gravity of what had just been said.

"Second," Jiang Cheng leaned slightly forward, exerting pressure like a mountain on Pi Ruan. He stared into Pi Ruan's eyes and continued, "Didn't I warn you not to be too greedy?"

Pi Ruan swallowed and quietly said, "Dr. Jiang, I did exactly as you said. I only took what you told me to, not a penny more."

Jiang Cheng furrowed his brows, "How was the agreement drafted?"

"It's that if something unfortunate happens to my girlfriend, or if she becomes paralyzed, her assets are split 70/30. I only take what I'm entitled to," Pi Ruan swore earnestly.

The Fatty's eyes turned green with envy as he immediately understood why the doctor had previously said that if something happened to Pi Ruan's girlfriend, he would wear a red outfit.

Thirty percent of six hundred million was a whopping 180 million!

The Fatty could hardly fathom the amount of wealth. Even if he earned 6,000 a month, it would take him 3,000 years to make 180 million—without eating or drinking!

If he were in Pi Ruan's shoes, the Fatty thought, it wouldn't be just a matter of wearing red. He would probably do something like crossing the Lop Nur desert upside down, because that money would not feel secure otherwise.

TL/N: It emphasizes the idea of doing something unconventional or arduous to guarantee safety or success.

Jiang Cheng was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly seemed to realize something. He raised his head, stared at Pi Ruan, and asked, "You're not planning to take the seventy percent, are you?"

Pi Ruan seemed stunned for a moment, then replied, "Isn't that the plan?"

Jiang Cheng: "…"

At this point, the Fatty raised his hand. He hadn't wanted to speak, but couldn't hold himself back. "Pi Ruan, my brother," the Fatty said, pursing his lips. "You can still run now. If you wait any longer, it might be too late."

The Fatty could tell that Jiang Cheng didn't want to get involved in Pi Ruan's business. But, Pi Ruan begged so much that Jiang Cheng finally relented as Pi Ruan whispered something in his ear.

After hearing this, Jiang Cheng's face turned red, and then he looked at Pi Ruan with a validating glance. Pi Ruan blinked hard, signaling that it was all covered.

"Fine," Jiang Cheng sighed and sat back on the sofa. "Who told me to have such a kind and generous heart?"

"Dr. Jiang, you're not just kind-hearted," Pi Ruan bowed deeply, eager to flatter him, "You're excellent, and most importantly, handsome!"

"Alright," Jiang Cheng waved his hand. "Regarding this matter, I will come up with a plan by tomorrow. Just wait for my news."

"Thank you, Dr. Jiang!" Pi Ruan bowed at a 180-degree angle.

The Fatty suspected that he might have limited Pi Ruan's freedom, but it seemed like Pi Ruan would have bowed to the doctor a couple of times before leaving, if it weren't for him being there.

"Then I'll trouble you, Dr. Jiang," Pi Ruan rubbed his hands excitedly. "You go ahead, I won't disturb you."

After speaking, Pi Ruan turned and walked toward the door, knowing Jiang Cheng's temper—he didn't like people talking nonsense, especially when there was no benefit to it.

Jiang Cheng grabbed a brown paper bag from the sofa and slowly said, "Wait."

Pi Ruan immediately stopped, turned around, and looked at Jiang Cheng with confusion, asking, "Dr. Jiang, is there something else?"

"There's something I need you to help with," Jiang Cheng handed the brown paper bag in Pi Ruan's direction.

The distance between them was clearly not enough for Pi Ruan to reach the bag, so he quickly jogged over, respectfully taking the bag. Inside, there were several sketches.

Portraits.

The sketches were of several women.

They were done in pencil, with simple yet sharp lines. The women's brows in the sketches seemed to have a curved sharpness like a knife.

There were four pictures in total.

Each one depicted a different woman.

Pi Ruan curiously flipped through the sketches, then raised his head, confused, and asked, "These…"

"There are two women in total," Jiang Cheng gestured with his eyes, "The first three pictures are of one woman in different outfits, and the third one is based on my guess of what she would look like with glasses."

The Fatty's eyes widened as soon as he saw the sketches. He recognized the woman in the pictures as Chen Xiaomeng and was shocked by Jiang Cheng's drawing skills.

With just a few strokes, Chen Xiaomeng's essence leapt off the page.

It was at least 90% accurate.
