Stark was growing anxious. While he had seen Hulk's power before, he never imagined that dealing with him would be this difficult. None of his attacks seemed to affect Hulk, and even with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the police deploying significant force, they still couldn't contain him.
This Hulk was unbelievably strong.
Thankfully, Luo Bai had arrived!
"Luo Bai, I'm really grateful you came to help. If there were any other option, I wouldn't have called you," Stark said, struggling to stand up from the ground.
Luo Bai nodded in understanding. "I know."
Stark, looking a bit embarrassed, then asked, "You can handle this big guy, right?"
"Of course. Why else would you call me?" Luo Bai responded.
"I know you can teleport people using magic," Stark explained, "but what I'm asking is... can you subdue him? He's an Avenger too, but he lost control due to... some complicated circumstances. I'll explain it all to you later."
Due to the urgency, Stark couldn't fully explain the situation, but Luo Bai quickly grasped the point.
"So, you want me to subdue him without hurting him?" Luo Bai clarified.
Stark nodded. "Yes, he's a good person at heart."
"That's simple," Luo Bai said confidently.
Although Stark trusted Luo Bai's abilities, he was still worried that his friend might underestimate the situation. "I know you're a powerful mage, but be careful. He's not easy to deal with."
Luo Bai didn't reply. Instead, he just began walking toward Hulk.
Meanwhile, Hulk was being surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and the police. The street had been blocked off, with a large number of police cars and helicopters forming a perimeter. Civilians had already been evacuated, and it seemed that S.H.I.E.L.D. was trying to keep Hulk contained within the area.
However, despite their efforts, bullets were doing little more than irritating Hulk, and his strength was proving far too much for them to handle. Helicopters were being shot down one after another, and debris from cars and broken pavement littered the ground.
The situation had escalated to the point of chaos, causing Nick Fury, observing from a safe distance, to frown in frustration. He didn't want to hurt Hulk, but if this continued, Hulk would end up a wanted criminal worldwide.
The Avengers were already short on members, and Fury had just managed to convince the Security Council to approve the team's existence. If things got worse, the Council might use this as an excuse to shut them down entirely.
As Fury pondered what to do, he noticed someone approaching the scene.
It was Luo Bai.
"Why is he here?" Fury muttered in surprise.
"It was probably Tony who called him. They seem to have a good relationship," Natasha Romanoff guessed.
"Is he really going to confront Hulk without any weapons?" Fury said, astonished.
Luo Bai's boldness took everyone by surprise. Romanoff was also taken aback and asked, "Do you want me to pull him out of there? This is dangerous."
Fury hesitated, then replied, "No, let's see what he can do. Tell the others to hold their fire for now. We don't want to accidentally hurt Luo Bai."
Romanoff quickly relayed the instructions and then returned to observe with Fury.
By this point, Hulk had noticed Luo Bai.
With the street nearly deserted and everyone else hiding behind police cars or in helicopters, it wasn't hard for the giant to focus on the lone man walking directly toward him.
Hulk was furious.
His anger bulged through his muscles, overtaking his consciousness and leaving him with little ability to reason. The moment he saw Luo Bai, Hulk grabbed a parked car and lifted it over his head.
Everyone could see that Hulk was about to hurl the car at Luo Bai.
In most situations, anyone in Luo Bai's shoes would either dodge or prepare to counter the attack. But what baffled everyone watching was that Luo Bai kept walking toward Hulk without any intention of dodging or defending himself.
Romanoff, puzzled, asked, "Why isn't he getting out of the way?"
Nick Fury, equally confused, kept silent, wanting to see how this would unfold.
Hulk, without hesitation, hurled the car at Luo Bai with all his might.
The entire crowd held their breath as the vehicle rocketed toward him like a missile.
And then... the car missed.
It flew right past Luo Bai, crashing into the ground behind him.
Everyone was stunned.
Did that really just happen?
The silence that followed was palpable. Even Hulk looked confused, momentarily unsure of what had just occurred.
Finally, Nick Fury broke the silence with a bemused murmur. "Wait... does Hulk have bad aim?"
"I've seen him take down helicopters with perfect accuracy. Who knew his aim could be this off?" Romanoff replied.
Stark, utterly exasperated, exclaimed, "What the hell?! Why was he so accurate when he was hitting me?"
No one had an answer.
As confused as everyone was, Luo Bai remained unfazed. He hadn't dodged the attack because he believed in his own luck. As someone favored by fortune, how could he be struck so easily?
Dusting himself off, Luo Bai continued walking toward Hulk, his calm demeanor seemingly agitating the green giant even more.
Hulk, frustrated that his attack had missed, roared louder than before: "HULK!"
Enraged, Hulk raised his massive fist and swung it straight at Luo Bai.
