Hell Dimension
After Luo Bai left, Mephisto finally let out a long sigh of relief.
Staring at his nearly drained Hell Dimension, he couldn't understand why Fairy Power had appeared on Earth.
What confused him even more was why a human now controlled that power.
Unless… the Fairy Power had already fused with that human.
As the King of Lies, Mephisto was a master deceiver.
He thrived on using lies to trick human souls, which led to the well-known human saying:
"Never make a deal with the devil—his words are full of lies."
But the contract he personally wrote for Luo Bai?
There were no lies in it!
And every word he had spoken to Luo Bai was absolutely sincere!
Not because he didn't want to lie—he simply didn't dare.
If Luo Bai ever found out… would he even let him keep this Hell Dimension?
The more Mephisto thought about it, the more frustrated he became.
He had lived in this universe for countless years, always manipulating human emotions.
Yet now, he—a great demon lord—was being controlled by a human?
Why?!
Mephisto sighed helplessly.
But of course…
No matter how bitter he felt, he had to drag other evil lords into this mess.
Otherwise, his small Hell Dimension wouldn't survive the repeated destruction caused by Fairy Power.
With this in mind, a cunning plan formed in Mephisto's mind.
He quickly set it into motion.
Summoning his power, Mephisto sent invitations to several evil lords from different dimensions—ones he was familiar with.
The content of the invitation was simple.
It invited them to participate in a game called the "Earth Colonization Plan."
The rules?
Whoever turned Earth into their colony first… wins.
Once the letters were written, Mephisto used his abilities to send them across dimensions.
Of course, he added a few extra words for Dormammu.
It was unknown how much time passed before the dimensional lords received the invitations.
Their reactions varied.
But among them, Dormammu had the strongest reaction.
He had been waiting for an opportunity to descend upon Earth.
Now, he had one.
Without hesitation, Dormammu began calling upon his followers.
Kamar-Taj
Meanwhile, at Kamar-Taj…
Casillas, who had been sleeping, suddenly jerked awake, as if receiving a silent command.
His expression darkened.
Sensing something, he quickly gathered the mages who followed him.
Moments later, a group of ten Kamar-Taj mages followed him as they marched straight to the library.
All of them had sharp, focused gazes—they were ready for battle.
After all, they knew that Wong, the library's guardian, was no weakling.
Stealing the book that recorded the ritual to summon Dormammu right under Wong's nose wouldn't be easy.
They might even have to fight.
So, they came fully prepared.
But to their surprise…
When they reached the library—it was empty.
Casillas immediately sensed that something was off.
He turned to one of the mages beside him.
"Where's Wong?"
"Not sure… He might be at the Sanctum, guarding it," the mage guessed.
Something felt wrong—Casillas could sense it.
But he said nothing.
He simply entered the library and took The Book of Cagliostro.
The entire process went shockingly smoothly.
From the moment they entered to the moment Casillas walked out with the book…
No one stopped them.
Though he felt uneasy, Casillas didn't linger.
He led his group out of the library without hesitation.
Elsewhere in Kamar-Taj
The moment they left, a portal flickered open in the library.
From within, Luo Bai and Wong stepped out.
Wong frowned deeply, arms crossed as he stared at the empty space where the book had once been.
Finally, he sighed.
"I can't believe they were bold enough to steal a book right from the library!" he grumbled.
Earlier that night, Wong had been in the library as usual.
Then, Luo Bai suddenly appeared and pulled him aside.
He had told Wong that someone would try to steal a book tonight.
Without hesitation, Wong hid in another dimension alongside Luo Bai to observe.
Sure enough…
Not long after, Casillas and his followers arrived—just as Luo Bai had predicted.
Now, standing in the aftermath, Wong's expression darkened.
He turned and scanned the shelves.
A moment later, he confirmed which book Casillas had stolen.
"What they stole was indeed The Book of Cagliostro," Wong muttered, his expression solemn. "That book contains rituals on how to summon Dormammu and draw power from the Dark Dimension… So, they have fallen."
Luo Bai remained calm and asked, "I thought you had already known about this for a long time."
"I had my suspicions," Wong sighed. "But I didn't expect there would be so many this time."
Ever since Luo Bai had warned him, Wong had known that there were mages in Kamar-Taj who had been corrupted by Dormammu.
After all, this wasn't uncommon.
Throughout Kamar-Taj's history, many mages had abandoned their teachings to pursue black magic.
But this time…
The sheer number of defectors left Wong feeling powerless.
Fortunately, both Luo Bai and the Ancient One had foreseen this.
Thinking of this, Wong sighed.
"Thankfully, the Sorcerer Supreme had already anticipated this," he said. "What should we do next? Should we notify the mages and hunt them down?"
Wong asked quickly, assuming that Luo Bai had let the defectors steal from the library on purpose—to gather evidence before taking action.
However, Luo Bai's response in the next second left him stunned.
"No, let them summon Dormammu."
"…???"
Wong froze.
"Are you serious?" He looked at Luo Bai in shock. "Let them summon Dormammu?"
For a moment, he wondered if he had misheard.
But the next second, Luo Bai confirmed it.
"Of course. The temptation of dark power is something mages can never resist. Even if we stop Kaecilius now, others will eventually follow his path. If we want to end this cycle… we must eliminate the root cause."
Wong finally understood.
"Sorcerer Supreme… You're planning to get rid of Dormammu?"
Luo Bai nodded.
"That's right. Once I deal with Dormammu, I'll reorganize Kamar-Taj."
Wong: "..."
To be honest, he hadn't expected this.
All along, he thought Luo Bai wanted to track down the corrupted mages.
But no—he had actually been preparing to challenge Dormammu directly.
"You mean to tell me," Wong muttered, rubbing his temples, "that you let me play along just so you could duel Dormammu? Pardon my bluntness, but… Can we even win?"
If the Ancient One were still here, Wong might have felt a little more confident.
But now, the Ancient One was gone.
Luo Bai was alone.
Wong was deeply worried.
"We'll find out," Luo Bai said. "If we don't deal with Dormammu now, there will only be more fallen mages in the future. You don't need to worry about what happens next—just focus on guarding the library and the Sanctum, like before. I'll handle the rest."
With that, Luo Bai turned and left.
Wong stood in the library, feeling uneasy.
"No way… No way…"
"Fight Dormammu? Can we even win? Can this really work…?"
Ever since learning about the Supreme Sorcerer's plan, Wong had been feeling uneasy.
Mordo, upon hearing the news, was even more tense.
The thought of Dormammu's return, along with the fact that Kaecilius and his followers had officially turned into Dark Sorcerers, made him restless.
So, he made sure that every mage at Kamar-Taj trained every single day.
On the surface, everything in Kamar-Taj seemed normal.
But in truth—every mage was on edge.
Only Luo Bai remained calm.
Since he had nothing urgent to do, he spent most of his time at the New York Sanctum, continuing to absorb dark energy.
Until suddenly—
A massive surge of dark power erupted somewhere on Earth.
The next second, Wong and Mordo rushed into the Sanctum.
"Sorcerer Supreme!! Dormammu is here!!"
"To be precise," Mordo added urgently, "Kaecilius has summoned Dormammu! The ritual has been activated—Dormammu has already begun descending upon Earth!!"
Both men looked at Luo Bai in distress, expecting a response.
But to their surprise…
Luo Bai's expression was calm—as if he had already anticipated this.
"I know," he said, standing up. "I'm going to deal with Dormammu now."
He turned to Wong and Mordo.
"You two lead the mages and make sure to capture Kaecilius and the dark sorcerers. Leave Dormammu to me."
Mordo and Wong exchanged glances, then nodded firmly.
They turned and hurried back to Kamar-Taj, summoning all available mages.
Meanwhile, Luo Bai opened a portal—
And stepped directly into the Dark Dimension.
