Gratitude

Seven and Rolanda got back to the dormitory after leaving the lodge, and now it was time to head back to their rooms. Before they walked in, Rolanda suddenly grabbed Seven on his right arm.

"Seven," she spoke.

"Yeah?" Seven smiled politely.

Rolanda sniffled for a second as if hesitating then she threw a sharp glance at him.

"Thank you," she said.

Seven felt like his heart was failing at that instant, but he tried to be cool. Sure, after what he had done for her, a nice gratitude was expected, right?

"Anytime... Babe," Seven happened to cause a smile on his cheek.

"Alright, good night then, I know it's gonna really be a busy day for you tomorrow," Rolanda smiled and pushed her room open.

"Right," Seven could only maintain that smile, however a different thought was in his mind...

'I was expecting a kiss though...'
