Aurora lost the zeal to continue shopping. She couldn't focus on anything else meaningful as Casey's unsettling revelation repeatedly echoed in her ears.
Fortunately, she had already gotten most of the items she wanted to visit Xander's parents. Otherwise, it would have been a disaster.
Still, Aurora couldn't take her mind off what Casey told her on her way home from the mall. The information and the sight were haunting enough to make her sleep.
This made her wonder how that mother-daughter pair manages to get a good night's sleep whenever they shut their eyes at bedtime.
"They can't be humans!" Aurora mumbled to herself, noting how far kind she was to her wicked enemies.
She tried putting herself in Casey's shoes to understand the pain and emotions she felt back then and realised that she couldn't bear it. Not even for a second.
