Little Doubts

Xander's parents both enjoyed the champagne and had two takes on the taste. And Aurora appreciated their ratings, as their praises meant a lot to her.

After dinner, an opportunity presented itself for Aurora and Old Mrs. Scott to be alone.

The old lady mentioned her priceless dish collection, which she had never touched since she got them over fifty years ago. Aurora seemed invested, so she took her into the well-furnished kitchen.

"Wow!" Aurora's eyes glowed as soon as she set her eyes on the exquisite, polished, fine dishes. She hadn't seen anything like that in her life. "Now, I get why you've never touched them."

"Right?" Old Mrs. Scott smiled before moving on to lift one of the soup bowls to show her carefully. "You are the only one who understands me."

Aurora nodded in response as she appreciated the wares. "These dishes are a work of art, and eating with a work of art is an abomination."
