A Good Friend

Aurora stirred awake, her body feeling unusually heavy as she blinked at the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. She lazily turned her head to check the time on her phone—8:23 AM. That was sleeping in for her.

"Finally, Sleeping Beauty is awake," Abigail teased as she walked over, holding a steaming cup of mocha in her hand.

Aurora sat up groggily, stretching her arms before accepting the cup. The warmth seeped into her fingers, and the rich aroma instantly made her feel better. "You actually remembered," she murmured with a small smile before taking a sip.

Abigail smirked. "Of course, I did. I always keep my promises."

While Aurora drank, Abigail moved behind her and started gathering her hair into an effortless updo. "You look exhausted, Aura," she commented, securing the bun with a clip.

Aurora sighed. "I actually feel exhausted."

"Then go back to bed," Abigail suggested. "You need rest."
