Juliet Pays for Disrespecting Aurora

Xander led Aurora into their bedroom, his jaw set tight with barely restrained fury. The moment the door clicked shut behind them, he guided her toward the bed.

"Sit," he ordered, already reaching for the digital blood pressure monitor from the nightstand drawer.

Aurora sighed, knowing there was no point in protesting. She sat down, rolling up her sleeve as Xander wrapped the cuff around her arm and pressed the start button.

The machine hummed softly, the numbers appearing on the screen within seconds. Xander's eyes darkened when he saw the results—her blood pressure was elevated.

"Sweetheart," he said in a warning tone, removing the cuff carefully before setting the device aside. "Lie down for a bit."

"I'm fine, Xander," she muttered.

He shot her a look. "You're not fine. Your blood pressure is high, and I don't need the doctor to tell me why. That woman must have really angered you."
