There’s no need to explain

Elora froze at the content, shooting them an incredulous stare before clearing her throat and closing the book.

"Ahem….Here." She handed the book over to Hunter who looked down, unable to meet her gaze.

"Don't mind me, you can continue," Elora uttered softly with an understanding expression.

Her expression was the final blow—they felt like complete perverts.

"I-I-It's not what you think," Ian stuttered, trying to explain, but his flustered actions only made him appear guilty as if he had something to hide.

Hunter stared at the marble floor, silently praying for it to open up and swallow him whole. He blamed himself for bringing out that book.

"There's no need to explain. It's perfectly normal. I will leave you both to it." Elora rubbed her earlobes and nodded awkwardly before leaving.

As soon as she left, Hunter's shoulders slumped, his expression empty, as if he had nothing left to live for.
