Hailing Troubles (3)

Inside the temporary ward, Auntie Yang's child had just been admitted. The same middle-aged woman sat on the neighboring bed, her eyes blazing with anger as she glared at Auntie Yang and her child.

"Excuse me! When will my son be treated?" she demanded, her voice sharp and impatient.

The medic, trying to stay calm, replied, "We're prioritizing based on urgency, Ma'am. This child's temperature is higher than your son's. I assure you, we'll check on your son after this."

Despite the additional medics, the hospital still faced a severe imbalance in staff-to-patient ratios. Everyone was doing their best, but it was clearly not enough.

"Prioritize based on urgency? Is unconscious not urgent enough?" the woman barked, her voice echoing through the ward. "Excuse me, but I need to know why my son hasn't been seen yet!"

The exhausted medics paused, startled by the woman's livid face. She was relentless, her eyes narrowed in fury.
