Unravelling the Rubik's cube

"Where the hell am I ?"

With a confused expression ,Dongfan Yue muttered while looking around .

It was somewhat baffling to him as in one moment he was sitting on a rock in the public park while in the next it changed to this pitch black space. Actually calling it a pitch black space was an understatement as this space was darker than even the darkest of nights !

It was the kind of darkness that made one to feel extremely uncomfortable , yet to Dongfan Yue it made him feel at ease , just like it was a part of him .

" RIGHT , a part of me , could it be that this is the Rubik's cube doing ? Could this be inside my Rubik's cube ? Wow , now this is crazy , it would have been nice to see how Pang Pengyou's face will be like when he hears that I can enter my Rubik's cube , hehe. "

After the joy of finding out that his ability was truly functional and that day was not a fluke , he calmed down while thinking ; " How do I get out ?"

Meanwhile in the outside world , inside the small forest that he was staying there was no visible evidence to show that there was someone there previously except for the rocks piled up at one side , the Rubik's cube seemed to have brought him into a parallel space .

Everything was just as if he never even came here , there was no trace of him whatsoever to be found , he seemed to have totally vanished fron the surface of the Earth.

Back inside the Rubik's cube , Dongfan Yue could be seen sitting down on the floor as he was already tired and weak , he had practically walked the length and breadth of the pitch black space without even seeing the boundaries .

He was not sure of how long he had been walking as his personal comms was not working in here but he estimated that it had been five days already from how long it seemed in his eyes .

" Dang it , I can't believe that I would remain stuck here without finding a way out . There is probably something that am not getting .

Think , think , Dongfan think , what did I do to enter here ? Haha , Eureka !"

Slamming his hand on the floor , he closed his eyes only to discover that he was still in the black space when he open them .

" What , don't tell me that that did nothing , but it worked the first time , why is there no reaction now ."

Totally exasperated he started to bang the floor of the black space while yelling with a ferocious face ; " You this dumb cube will you even respond , am gonna break you right now if you don't let me out ."

Later it turned into begging sounds : " Please cubey , let me out a bit , huh . Am sorry if you are angry but could you please let me out ."

After trying all the methods he could think of Dongfan Yue was truly exhausted , giving up he laid on his back while looking up at the dark ceiling.

" Welcome master ?"

Springing to his feet with a strength that even he was suprised he had , he asked ;"Huh , who spoke now? Is that you cubey ? Say something ."

" I am precisely the one who spoke , your ability materialization."

" Thank goodness , finally someone to talk to . Hey cubey what exactly are you ? Some sort of origin ability artificial intelligence ? Wait , can ability materializations even speak ?"

" You could say so , I am the myriad transformations cube , capable of an infinite amount of combinations and yes, we can speak, it's just difficult for most to hold a conversation with us ."

" Oh my gosh , that's amazing , okay , okay let me get something right . You said you are capable of infinite combinations , what does that mean ?"

" The infinite combinations I mentioned is referring to the fact that I can virtually allow the usage of any ability as long as there is a pattern . By combining different squares on the Rubik's cube you can virtually replicate any ability . "

" That's insane ! This is practically like defying common sense ,but I don't think even a legendary grade ability talent is this badass."

" Naturally a legendary grade ability is not this extreme , even a supreme grade ability talent falls short . "

" Then what grade is the Rubik's cube if even the supreme grade doesn't make the cut ?"

" The divine grade ."

" What do you mean by ' DIVINE ' grade ? " Placing an emphasis on the divine Dongfan Yue asked

" Divine grade ability talents are the zenith of any ability you can possibly awaken , they are miles above the supreme grade talent that every body is familiar with ,it's just that they are exceptionally hard to awaken that is why they are rarely mentioned ."

Nodding his head in understanding Dongfan Yue proceeded to say ;" So the rumors really are true , there is really an ability talent grade higher than a supreme grade ability. "

" Yeah cubey , how do I leave this space ? "

" Master could you please call me another name cubey seems a little bit akward don't you think ? "

" Nah , I think it's really good . "

Exasperatedly cubey could only continue ; " Actually you're not supposed to be able to enter here now ?"

" Huh , what do you mean ?"

" This pocket dimension is meant to be available to you when you are at the peak of the Journeyman realm , but due to a factor I can't really account for there has been some changes ."

" A factor you say , haha , on the night of the awakening day I was struck by a bolt of black lightning in the face . Could that be the factor you were talking about ?"

" A black bolt of lightning you say , that is very odd , did you feel somehow after being struck ?"

" Yeah , I felt stronger the next day like I could punch through the hull plating of a battleship, I even thought that I awakened a strengthening type ability . "

" Am not really sure about what that black bolt of lightning is , but it is most probably the reason you are able to access this pocket dimension . "

" Okay , okay , let's leave all that aside , how do I leave here ?"

" That's very simple just reverse the way the Rubik's cube is back to the original way you found it . "

" That simple I thought it was going to be complicated ."

At this moment a small Rubik's cube came floating down from the cueling of the pocket dimension, holding it in his hand Dongfan Yue asked ; "Cubey can you give me something like a user manual so that I can use the cube when I get out of here . "

" Thought you would never ask master , I will be projecting how the Rubik's cube works directly into your soul sea now."

Suddenly he felt a lot of additional information surging into his mind , holding the small Rubik's cube he made a slight turn at the edge and POOF , he was back on the rock he was initially sitting on .

Smiling sheepishly he found out that only an hour had passed in the real world.

Well that was interesting .
