Under attack !

It was already a week since Dongfan Yue entered the Rubik's cube pocket dimension and discovered Cubey .

In this one week's time Dongfan Yue had practiced the myriad transformations origin energy codex time without number , and the only thing he could say if any one asked him about the comprised only one word 'DIVINE'.

His soul energy readings which he had not felt any changes since the first day he awakened actually increased noticeably within the first few minutes in which he started training with the codex . After one week of focused training his origin soul energy readings was already off the charts , if someone were to test his soul energy readings now they would be astonished to discover that it was already above seven hundred ankhs ! This was absolutely bonkers as it was already bordering on the intermediate stage of the Journeyman realm!

Although he knew that his soul energy figures surely had a huge bump even he would be scared by how huge that bump was .

The only strange thing though was that he did not have the feeling of breaking through to the Journeyman realm yet, despite his intuition telling him that he was having the required ankhs of soul energy .

When he asked Cubey the only reply it gave him was ;" Bro Dongfan ,I also do not know why there has been any advancement in your realm , maybe there are some pending conditions that are required to be fulfilled before any breakthrough can occur. "

Since even Cubey was clueless he could only raise his hands up in defeat.

Currently he was on board of a transport shuttle called the Happy Movers headed for the Carrabba star system where the Dawn Star academy was situated at .

As the one month long preparatory period for resumption was ending in less than two weeks he decided to set off early due to two reasons ,the first being that he had nothing to keep him back on Earth any longer as Pang Pengyou was already paving his own path ,Mr and Mr's Pang were doing fine ,so , you know there was nothing he was really feeling attached to back on Earth . The second reason could actually be said to be the main reason , the Happy Movers transport shuttle line whose ticket he purchased was one of the slowest travelling transport lines on Earth taking an entire week and two days to reach the Carrabba star system .

This slug like travelling speed was due to the shuttle having to make intermittent stops at various star ports along the span of the as it also doubled as a cargo ship .

Though there were other faster and time efficient transport shuttle lines that could make the journey within record time ; three to four days maybe their prices were much more exorbitant compared to that of the happy Movers.

This , Dongfan Yue was very clear about but hey , he got to save on all those extra credits ! Now that was much more important ,you see from a very tender age Dongfan Yue had already learned the profound art of extreme resource management . As he was not privileged to have the luxury of all his needs and wants being met he developed a a penchant for making do with whatever could get him by . Thus anytime he was getting food he tried to get the cheapest that could satiate his hunger , the same went to clothes and other stuff as long as the functionality was guaranteed he was okay with it .

He could be said to be a popular adherent of a popular saying back in pre space colonization Earth " If it ain't broke , don't fix it." As long as something was cheap and still served it's purpose Dongfan Yue would probably be the first in line to buy it .

It was these two factors that accounted for him being in this shuttle . Currently however Dongfan Yue was already bored ,like really ,really bored . Though they were already five days into the journey , they had already made about four stops already now with at least another extra four stops remaining ! Even though he expected the journey to be tiring at one point he was already getting bored out of his mind at this point as there was not really much to do on the transport shuttle . Actually the transport shuttle was not bad despite how the cheap price might make it seem at first , it was actually pretty much standard as it boasted basically everything required for such short distance cosmic travel . Each passenger was given a mini, one person cabin ,nothing exceptional mind you but it had everything you might need for your stay to be comfortable.

The main thing that bored him was actually that there was nothing to do except to stare at the vastness of space through the porthole in his cabin which was often times a stretch of darkness whose ends could not be deciphered . As most people's form of entertainment was in the VR world his personal comms could only provide a limited amount of entertainment to him .

Spending most of the last two day's just lying around in his cabin day dreaming was how he planned to spend the rest of the journey to Dawn Star ," Surely nothing could possibly go wrong , right ?" Was the thought he was currently having when BOOM !!!! an earsplitting explosion tore through the hull of the Happy Movers .

The force of the explosion threw him off the single person bed in his cabin rather violently causing him to hit his head on some random stuff lying about , grabbing a hold of the cold metallic walls of the cabin room he shook his head while trying to regain clarity .

" Hugh , dammit my mouth must definitely be jinxed ,I just spoke and bam this happened ? Cubey are you sure that my ability is not the super jinxing cube ?"

" Brother Dongfan ,this , am also not sure about , might be an added bonus to the package ."

Managing to exit the cabin he made his way along the corridor heading towards the shuttle's bridge , the ship was not that big only about three hundred feet , he had toured it's entirety on the first day so he knew where the bridge was .

" It's probably that we collided with an asteroid or may be it's one if the engines that's malfunctioning.... nothing definitely serious .

Suddenly he heard the public announcement system saying " Attention all passengers ,we are under attack by space pirates ,go back to your cabins as everything is perfectly under control be rest assured of your safety ."

With a somewhat suprised look Dongfan Yue mused " So it had to be pirates of all people ? "
