Teigu

"Yes," the system replied in a cold, emotionless tone.

In an instant, Riku's vision sharpened, revealing a clearer virtual map that only he could see. Various forces were marked across the landscape of Disboard, each color representing a different faction. His eyes widened slightly as he processed the information: the most coveted diamond treasure chests were located in the most perilous places imaginable.

One of them lay within the Dragon Den, home to the fourth-ranked Dragon species, a realm where few dared to tread. Another marked location was the capital of the Gigant race, ranked fifth, a place known for its colossal warriors. Platinum treasure chests were similarly situated within the strongholds of other formidable races. Meanwhile, the gold, silver, and bronze treasure chests were not as perilous to reach.

Yet, what truly made Riku's heart race was the location of the Flügel headquarters—the sixth-ranked species known as the God-Killers. Even the first-ranked Old Deus species had fallen to their might. Riku felt a chill run down his spine; there had to be a colorful treasure chest lurking there, surpassing even the platinum treasure chests in value.

However, the challenge of obtaining it was staggering. The Flügel were not only numerous but also powerful, and their stronghold was protected by Avant Heim, the second-ranked species. It was a place steeped in danger, where only the bravest would dare to venture.

And looming above them all was the God of War, Artosh. For millennia, he had carved his legacy by defeating countless powerful foes, solidifying his status as the strongest entity in this world—the king of all kings, the god of gods. Avant Heim, where the Flügel resided, served as Artosh's apostle, creating a legacy of divine-killing weapons.

Riku chuckled darkly, narrowing his pupils in amusement at the formidable odds. "What a challenge this will be."

The treasure chest distribution was random for lower-tier chests, but Riku understood that the high-level treasure chests were strategically placed to match their danger level. The more perilous the location, the higher the quality of the treasure that awaited.

The refresh intervals for these treasures were stringent: diamond chests refreshed every three years, platinum chests every year, while colorful treasure chests would never refresh at all. Gold chests appeared every six months, silver every three months, and bronze every month.

"Got it. System, is there a novice treasure chest available?" Riku asked casually.

[No.]

"Okay." Not disheartened, he nodded and turned his attention to a bronze treasure chest that had conveniently appeared beside him. Luck was on his side, it seemed.

Riku placed his hand on the chest, feeling a rush of anticipation. As he opened it, a radiant sphere of light burst forth.

Ding! Congratulations, host! You've opened a bronze treasure chest and received the item: Teigu Dimensional Formation: Shambhala.

This particular Teigu, sourced from Akame Ga Kill!, allowed him to plant spatial coordinates and manipulate space itself. However, using it would drain both his mental and physical strength. Its ultimate ability was the power to exile individuals into alternate dimensions.

"Not a bad start," he mused, glancing at the compass-like purple artifact in his hand. For Riku, the Shambhala's abilities were invaluable, even more so than sheer power. In a world teeming with the strong, brute strength alone wouldn't guarantee survival.

With the Dimensional Formation at his disposal, he could easily gather treasure chests and navigate his surroundings without drawing attention.

Ding! The system interrupted his thoughts. "Detected Teigu: Dimensional Formation: Shambhala. Would you like to recycle it or store it?"

"What does recycling do? And what about the storage space?" Riku inquired, keeping his tone steady.

[Recycling allows you to exchange valuable items for equivalent exchange points, which can be used to acquire new treasure chests. The storage space is designated for holding items; currently, you have five cubic meters available, which will expand as you open more treasure chests.]

As the system provided details, a virtual screen appeared before him:

Redemption System: Exchange treasure chests using points.

Ordinary Treasure Chest: 1,000 points

Exquisite Treasure Chest: 5,000 points

Excellent Treasure Chest: 20,000 points

Supreme Treasure Chest: 100,000 points

Divine Treasure Chest: 500,000 points

Riku absorbed the information. Ordinary, exquisite, and excellent chests could yield a range of items and abilities, while the supreme and divine chests guaranteed high-value rewards, including powerful bloodlines. The prices were steep, but given that a bronze treasure chest could yield a Teigu, it was probably worth the risk... right?"
