The Predator Unleashed

Victor leaned in close, whispering harshly. "Jack, don't let him get in your head. Stick to the plan."

Jack nodded but said nothing. His fists clenched, not from nerves but from the weight of memories that Caleb's face dragged out of him. Memories of his worst defeat, memories of shame.

The bell rang, and Round 1 began.

In the crowd, Victor kept glancing at his phone. Messages buzzed one after the other.

**Unknown Number:** *Still time to back out, Frost. Big money's on Caleb.

Victor's jaw tightened. "Damn vultures."

Beside him, a man with a cigar leaned over. "Frost, you gonna keep staring at that phone, or you actually care about your boy in there?"

Victor shot him a glare. "Back off."

The man laughed, blowing smoke in Victor's face. "Relax. Just saying, Caleb's a beast. Might be smart to hedge your bets."

Victor said nothing, his eyes glued to the ring.
