Midway through the round, Jack began to adjust. He stopped chasing Anton and started using small movements to minimize damage. Instead of trying to match speed, he focused on staying calm, analyzing Anton's patterns.
The next time Anton rushed in, Jack slipped the jab and fired a straight right to the body. It wasn't a hard shot, but it was enough to disrupt the flow.
"Finally," Jack muttered under his breath.
Anton's smirk faltered, and he circled out, resetting. "You're smarter than you look. Let's see how long that lasts."
Anton came at him again, but this time Jack was ready. He feinted a jab, drawing Anton into his range, then clinched up. With a burst of strength, Jack slammed him against the cage.
"Not so fast now, are you?" Jack growled.
Anton struggled, throwing sharp elbows, but Jack used his weight to pin him down. He worked short knees to the body, forcing Anton to burn energy as he tried to escape.
