Assigning Dormitory

"So we will be concluding the assessment for today now. You are all now official students of Lowaling Academy," declared Eagleman with a smile.

"We will be doing the last and most important aspect of your entry. So, form two straight lines and step forward respectively."

Doing as requested, they then came one after the other towards Eagleman, who held onto their left wrist and imbued a magic spell into them.

Following it, he gave them a book as well, and lastly, gave them a small box that contained their dorm room number and keys. The few colleagues that came to join in help directed all those that have done the process toward their dorm room.

"Let's see what we have here," Zain thought as he opened his box and saw the card containing his dorm number.

It contained quite a number of information, and all that was on it was:

[Basic mage division]

[Magic possessive mage (MP) department]

[Lane 10, building 91, room C-99]

Looking at the book next, it had a plain cover with a single word written at its back in all caps — LOWALING. Makes sense since it contained all one needs to know about the school, not excluding rules.

And lastly, the writing on his left wrist like a tattoo. It is what Eagleman imbued into them using magic. Zain currently doesn't know what it means or its purpose, but that isn't a problem yet because the book should have details of its purpose.

"So, everyone, you all are to follow the other administrators of this assessment who will be guiding you to your division. You should be able to get to your dorm afterwards."

As soon as Eagleman finished, three advanced men came out from a door behind the platform in three different uniforms.

The one on the left was wearing a plain blue robe, which represents the basic mage instructor. The other in the middle with an orange robe representing the intermediate mage instructor, and lastly, the one on the right with a red robe representing the advanced mage instructor.

"All mages allocated into the basic mage division should kindly come with me." With that said, he walked towards the door.

Following him, the mages, including Zain, all rushed towards him, following his lead.

They all navigated through the school on foot. After about thirty minutes of walking, they found themselves in front of a big, gigantic gate shut closed with a crest of the head of a beast that looked like a blend of a lion and bull, a beast to be more appropriate.

What stood out about it all was two swords by the left edge and right edge of the statue's head, piercing through them. The bladed part was partially sticking out from its cheek. It could easily be seen as a beast's head with swords making an x-shape on it.

Before getting in, the administrator started. "You shouldn't be disappointed with whatever you see. The mages at the basic tiers are the lowest to be categorized so they are treated like the lowest in school, and this reflects on everything including your dorm, your teaching, your food, and everything else.

"In order for you to get a prestige treatment, you have to grow stronger and rise to the intermediate school division or advanced division because that is preferable.

"So, feel down so you will be more determined to grow stronger and get off the junk."

With that said, they approached the gate. It slowly opened before they could even touch it, let alone open it with their hands. As the group proceeded through the massive gate, their eyes widened in awe at the grandeur of the Lowaling Academy.

"Wow!" they all exclaimed with puppy dog eyes. Even the gate was giving them a certain level of respect. That aside, this was far beyond expectations due to the fact that this is a tier 8 city.

Walking forward into the school, their jaws dropped. The sight was breathtaking for them.

The sight they saw was a vision to behold. Nine lanes, each consisting of the tallest building they had ever seen came into view.

"The streets formed between the lanes and each lane consisted of 100 different skyscrapers of 100 floors each."

"This is next level," one of them commented.

"How come we didn't see this before we came into it? These buildings are tall enough for it to supposedly be seen even outside the school. It must be the work of one of their spells wasted all over the school," another continued.

"It's nearly as if I can perceive magic in here, this strong sense of magic. I cannot wait to see how strong I'll turn out in this academy."

"They call this trash, this is heaven. I wonder what the higher division will be like."

"I never knew skyscrapers truly exist, ev..."

Multiple comments could be heard making the area noisy as Zain moved forward alongside the others.

Looking at the front of the streets, Zain caught sight of the signboards containing the writing on the card attached to his key.

"Lane 10," he mumbled as he then running on it, being the first to depart from the group.

"Building 91," he read as he then ran forward into it. He just wanted to see his dorm so badly that curiosity got better of him.

Staring at the skyscraper, the smile on his face grew wider.

Opening the big door, he then walked in. Inside the building wasn't as impressive as he thought it would be. The inside was spacious with rooms facing each other forming a hallway right from the first floor.

"Room A-1."

Staring at the hallway, Zain could see the rooms arranged in order, ranging from A-1 to A-20 on the first floor.

"This is not where my room is located," Zain spoke inwardly while he scanned the room looking for something in particular.

"How come there is no other means of traveling around the building other than stairs?" This is going to be time-consuming and really bad.

Walking up the stairs, Zain got to the next floor that was numbered from A-21 to A-40.

"Seems like I still have a long way to go," Zain mumbled as he stared at the tag attached to his key. He needed to walk till he gets to his room; he had no option other than going on foot.

After walking to the fifth floor, he could see the end of rooms A- it ends at A-100. Moving to the sixth floor, he could see the beginning of rooms B.

"With my calculation, I have to climb through 15 floors."

Finally arriving at the room on Lane 10, Building 21, and room C-99 of the basic mage division, Zain paused. This was his designated dormitory.

Brimming with anticipation, he opened the door.
