Do You Want Some Barbecue

Under Urahara Kisuke's watchful eye, all the thin lines of Reiatsu exploded with a bang.

The area where Saikyō stood was bombarded indiscriminately by thunder, fire, and lightning, scorching the ground and filling the air with a pungent and unpleasant smell.

In just a few breaths, a massive hole appeared, and the surface of the training ground was completely penetrated.

The power of combining Kidō was fully displayed!

"It's so strong! Truly incredible power!"

Urahara Kisuke couldn't hide his excitement.

Having witnessed the entire process from beginning to end, the visual impact of the dual-attribute Kidō left the shopkeeper utterly astonished.

"Mr. Urahara, I've done my best, but this is as far as I can go for now," Saikyō exhaled deeply.

Considering this was his first attempt, Saikyō was quite pleased with the results. He was confident that with time, his proficiency in merging attributes would only improve. Once he mastered the fusion of multiple elements, his potential would be boundless.

"Saikyō, I'd give you ninety-nine points for your performance today, but I'm afraid you'd get cocky if I gave you the last one." Urahara Kisuke slowly descended the stone stairs, already beginning to tease.

"Shop Manager Urahara, your humor is quite something. You're very different from anyone else I've met," Saikyō was caught off guard by Urahara's words.

"Alright, that's enough training for today. Go soak in the hot spring and rest up. Tonight, I'll take you to Run Lin'an for a nice meal." Urahara Kisuke approached Saikyō, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"Run Lin'an?"

Saikyō's eyes lit up.

Rukongai, divided into East, West, North, and South, is composed of 320 districts, numbered from lowest to highest. The lower the number, the better the law and order, and the better the living conditions.

On the other hand, the districts with the highest numbers have poor security, with scarce food and water, and constant danger.

At the very top of the ranking is Run Lin'an, the most bustling district in all of Rukongai. Especially at night, the streets are packed with people, and the area is filled with various shops, creating a lively and prosperous atmosphere.

Without a doubt, it's the perfect place for relaxation and fun!

"Wait, Saikyō, are you telling me you've never been to Run Lin'an?" Urahara Kisuke looked incredulous.

The young head of the Shihōin family, and future clan leader, has never left the Seireitei? Who would believe that?

"Ahem... I usually stay at home. Aside from training within the mansion, I rarely go out," Saikyō admitted, slightly embarrassed.

Faced with Urahara Kisuke's questioning gaze, he felt like digging a hole and hiding.

"Oh hehehe, who would've thought? You're wasting such a handsome face," Urahara Kisuke raised an eyebrow, complimenting Saikyō in the process.

"Go rest for a bit, we'll head out when it gets dark."

Urahara Kisuke waved off the conversation, casually strolling away.

Saikyō nodded and went off to the hot spring to take a refreshing bath.

---

Nightfall.

The two arrived at Run Lin'an as planned.

"Mr. Urahara, this place is far more lively than I expected. I've seen many Shinigami here," Saikyō said, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

As he noted, the night market streets were packed with people, with lively calls and shouts echoing all around. Alongside the local residents, Shinigami from the Seireitei could be seen wandering in groups.

However, to Saikyō's slight disappointment, most of the Shinigami he encountered were not well-known, and he didn't recognize anyone familiar.

"Saikyō, let me give you some insight." Urahara Kisuke patiently explained, "Whether it's regular squad members, seated officers, or even a Captain, you'll occasionally find them around Run Lin'an."

"So, don't be surprised when you see Shinigami here. They might even be more surprised to see you."

Urahara Kisuke finished his explanation with a knowing look.

Sure enough, when Saikyō glanced in the direction Urahara had hinted at, he saw a group of people watching them, whispering amongst themselves, as though they were discussing something secretly.

"Mr. Urahara, it seems you've been recognized." Saikyō sighed dramatically. "It's a pity I'm just a nobody. No one even knows who I am."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Saikyō, you really know how to joke."

Urahara Kisuke unfolded a small fan, waving it lazily in front of his face. "If people knew you were Captain Yoruichi's brother, this entire street would be in an uproar."

"Not to mention..."

"You've got such a pretty face. Boys like you need to be careful when they go out, or some older ladies might kidnap you."

Urahara Kisuke quipped with a wink.

"Mr. Urahara, stop making fun of me. No one's interested in a kid like me," Saikyō chuckled helplessly.

"We're here!"

Just then, Urahara Kisuke came to a stop, pointing toward a large building ahead.

"Mr. Urahara, is this the izakaya you mentioned?" Saikyō asked curiously.

He looked up.

The izakaya was enormous, with high-end, grand decorations. The exterior walls were painted a deep red, glowing under the lights with a soft shimmer. Above the roof, a large signboard with the name "Drunken Immortal" stood out.

"Saikyō, don't underestimate this izakaya. It's a century-old establishment. Not only do the Shinigami of the Gotei 13 come here, but even nobles from the Seireitei frequent this place," Urahara Kisuke emphasized.

A few years ago, Yoruichi had brought him here, so he was quite familiar with the place.

"Mr. Urahara, I imagine only Shinigami and nobles can afford to come here. Ordinary people probably can't," Saikyō noted, recognizing the luxurious atmosphere.

"You're right. If it weren't for Captain Yoruichi's treat back then, I would've never come here."

"But don't worry, I'm covering all the expenses tonight!" Urahara Kisuke added, sounding both generous and slightly regretful as he touched his wallet.

"Pfft!"

"You're covering everything? Are you turning into Mr. Zhao now?" Saikyō nearly burst out laughing.

[T/N]"some kind of Chinese reference "

Not being one to refuse, Saikyō decided to let Urahara Kisuke handle the bill.

Soon after, the two walked into the izakaya together.

But just as they settled into their seats, a playful voice called out from nearby.

"Hey, little brother, how about some skewered barbecue?"

Saikyō turned toward the voice, only to see a familiar face!
