Chapter 2

Coffee Date Sunlight streamed through the café's glass windows, spilling onto the warm wooden tabletop. Lin Xiaoxiao sat by the window, holding a cup of fragrant coffee, her gaze occasionally drifting outside. Lu Tingshen sat across from her, his eyes deep, seemingly lost in thought. His attire today was more casual than last night, a simple white shirt with the collar slightly open, making him appear more approachable. "Miss Lin, about last night, I am truly sorry," Lu Tingshen broke the silence first, his voice tinged with a hint of apology. Lin Xiaoxiao smiled slightly, "It's okay, Mr. Lu, it was just an accident." Her voice was gentle, her eyes revealing a trace of forgiveness. Lu Tingshen looked at her, a surge of inexplicable emotion rising in his heart. He had met many women, but it was the first time he encountered someone as simple and sincere as Lin Xiaoxiao. "What do you usually like to do?" He tried to learn more about her. Lin Xiaoxiao thought for a moment, "I like reading and organizing bookshelves. The library is my favorite place." Lu Tingshen nodded, "I also like reading, but mostly work-related books." Their conversation gradually became more natural. Lu Tingshen discovered that Lin Xiaoxiao was not the ordinary girl he had imagined. She had her own hobbies and pursuits, her own attitude towards life. "Why do you like the library?" Lu Tingshen asked curiously. Lin Xiaoxiao smiled, "Because there are many books there, each one is a world. I like the feeling of being immersed in a sea of books." Lu Tingshen was captivated by her words. He had never thought someone could love the library so much. He began to take more interest in her. "Can I accompany you to the library?" he suddenly suggested. Lin Xiaoxiao was a bit surprised, "Of course, but are you sure you have the time?" Lu Tingshen smiled, "Time can always be made." After finishing their coffee, Lu Tingshen suggested they walk back to the library. The sunlight was just right, the breeze gentle, and they walked along the tree-lined path, enjoying the rare tranquility. Lin Xiaoxiao's mood also lightened. She began to introduce Lu Tingshen to every book and every corner of the library. Lu Tingshen watched her, noticing how her eyes lit up when she talked about books, her face radiating satisfaction and happiness. He was infected by her passion and began to develop an interest in the library. "You are really amazing," Lu Tingshen praised, "Your knowledge of books surprises me." Lin Xiaoxiao smiled, "It's nothing, I just like them." They spent the afternoon in the library. Lu Tingshen found that Lin Xiaoxiao not only had a deep understanding of books but also cared deeply for every reader in the library. "You are a good librarian," Lu Tingshen said sincerely. Lin Xiaoxiao's face flushed slightly, "Thank you for the compliment." As the sun set, they walked out of the library. Lu Tingshen looked at Lin Xiaoxiao, feeling an unprecedented sensation. He didn't know what it was, but he knew that this girl would occupy a place in his life. "Miss Lin, thank you for your company today," Lu Tingshen said earnestly. Lin Xiaoxiao smiled, "I am also very happy to have spent this afternoon with you." They said goodbye at the library entrance. Lu Tingshen watched Lin Xiaoxiao's departing figure, a surge of inexplicable emotion welling up in his heart. He knew that this girl would leave a deep mark on his life. And Lin Xiaoxiao, though somewhat wary of this domineering CEO, had to admit that his presence made her life no longer ordinary. Their story began just like that, unintentionally...
