After this one video incident, Jake had no desire to work.

Once the secretary had cleaned up the office, he stayed in his chair in contemplation.

It wasn’t until Aria called in the afternoon that he barely managed to find some spirit.

“Honey, are you busy today?” she asked over the phone.

Jake lowered his eyes, “Why?”

She was not sure if it was an illusion, Aria felt that his tone was a bit cold, but he said so little that she wasn’t sure.

Maybe it was really her mishearing.

Thinking like this, Aria didn’t take this to heart and smiled, “Usually you come over to pick me up at this hour, but you are not here today, so I call you and think you are busy.”

“I’ll be right there.” Jake said.

“Okay, drive safely.” Aria nodded her head.

Hearing that, Jake’s pupils twitched, his face went icy. The image of the red car that had crashed through his parents came to his mind.

Jake put down his phone, he got up and walked out to the balcony to let the cold wind cool his mind down.
