Aria held her forehead, her heart inexplicably feeling indescribable. Why did this bizarre scenario come to her mind when she just had a headache?
“Mrs. Thomson, what’s wrong with you?” Seeing Aria’s pale face, Mara asked with concern.
Aria shook her head, and said in a hoarse voice, “I’m fine, I just had a sudden headache, I’m fine now.”
“Let’s go in first, then.” Mara was relieved to hear that.
Aria nodded in agreement.
Mara helped Aria to sit down on the sofa in the living room and was to go pour her a glass of water.
When Aria suddenly called out, “You heard the argument between me and Jake just now, right?” Mara nodded.
“Then do you think that it was really my mother who ran over and killed Jake’s parents?” Aria looked at her hopefully.
Mara’s eyes dodged, “How would I know about such things?”
She had just stood watching from a short distance while the two were arguing.
She could see that Jake wasn’t lying, but likewise, Aria didn’t look like she was either.
