Jake laughed lowly, “Jealous?”
“Of course.” Aria pouted her red lips and said in a sour tone, “As a mother, I should be the first to hug him, and now the first one to hug him was you.”
The smile on Jake’s face grew, “You are out of the country, but that’s only fair.”
“Fair?” Aria looked puzzled, “How so?”
“Before, when you had Shane and Sasha, I didn’t know about it at all, so I never held two kids about the same age as Shawn. Now that I’m the first to hold him, it kind of makes up for the fact that I didn’t hold the twins as babies, isn’t that fair?” Jake explained with hooked lips.
Aria froze for a few seconds before she uttered, “Well, you’re right.”
“Not jealous now?” Jake asked.
Aria shook her head, “I wasn’t really jealous, we are the parents of the child, whoever is the first to hold the child, it’s the same.”
Hearing her say that, Jake’s eyes were gentle.
