Serena had no doubt that the man was telling the truth, she could even feel his sharp teeth grinding at the back of her neck.
She raised her hand and knocked his mask right off.
A flash of surprise crossed the man's eyes, which turned to overwhelming anger.
Serena didn't even get a chance to see what he looked like before she was pinned to the seat with her hands cuffed behind her back.
"You don't want to live?"
His voice was grim, and the force of his restraints on her hadn't lessened at all, and she felt like her hands were about to break.
She pursed her lips, her tone mocking, "Since I'm going to die sooner or later, let's see what's wrong with you before I die? Otherwise, when I get to the afterlife, I won't even know what the person who hurt me looks like, how can I find you for revenge in my next life?"
Not knowing which words had pleased him, he loosened his grip a little and slipped the mask into her hand.
"Put it back on."
