Serena's body stiffened momentarily, a hint of sourness spreading from her chest.
"Rustling."
She heard someone tugging at the cloth covering it, but Byron's voice came through, "Leona, I prepared Maxwell's favorite of course, you don't want to reveal it, gotta keep the suspense."
The little girl snorted coldly, "It can't be another woman from somewhere, can it? It will be dismantled by daddy."
This speaks of Byron's sadness, when Byron did find a beauty, he wanted to use the gap that Maxwell had forgotten Serena to keep that woman by Maxwell's side, he didn't realize that Maxwell, who had forgotten Serena, had become even more cruel and bloody than before.
With a jolt, he pushed the little girl away, "Leona, didn't you used to dislike coming to parties like this? It's better to hurry back."
Serena would have liked to keep listening to the commotion outside, but it quickly quieted down.
