"How did he see through it?!" someone shouted.
Aeron coughed, wiping blood from his lips, but he wasn't done yet.
"Not bad," he admitted. "But I'm not out yet!"
His eyes glowed, and the shadows beneath Leon twisted unnaturally.
"Nightmare Bind!"
Dark tendrils shot up from the ground, wrapping around Leon's legs, locking him in place. The energy seeped into his mind, trying to force him into an illusion.
But Leon just sighed.
"I'm the last person you want to trap in darkness."
His body trembled for a moment—then black flames erupted from him, burning the tendrils away.
Aeron's eyes widened. "What?! That's not illusion magic! What the hell are you?!"
Leon didn't answer.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Aeron again.
A simple punch.
But when it connected—
BOOM!
Aeron was blasted backward, skidding across the ground before slamming into the barrier again.
He didn't get up.
