Come For Me Baby

Jinman

That night, I lay in bed, the dim light from my desk lamp casting shadows on the ceiling. The room was quiet, my roommates still out, but my mind was anything but calm. My phone rested on my chest, buzzing softly with Eva's name lighting up the screen.

We'd been texting for hours. It started innocent enough...talking about her new classes, how her dad's new job was going, and how much we both hated the crappy dorm food. But somewhere along the way, the conversation shifted, and now I couldn't think straight.

Eva: I miss you.

Me: I miss you too.

Eva: Not just talking to you... I miss your touch. The way your hands felt on my skin.

My breath hitched. My fingers hovered over the keyboard, debating what to say, before I gave in to what I really felt.

Me: Eva… you have no idea what you're doing to me right now.
