The sound of laughter and clinking glasses echoed from the common area of my dorm. My new friends were still celebrating the end of midterms with drinks, but I had barely taken two sips before my phone vibrated in my lap. I didn't even have to check the screen. I already knew it was Jinman.
My fingers tightened around the device as I glanced around. No one was paying attention to me, lost in their own conversations. The moment I saw an opportunity, I slipped away, my heart pounding in anticipation.
The hallway was dim, the only light coming from the vending machines. I stepped into the bathroom at the farthest end, locking the door behind me before answering.
"You finally picked up," his voice was deep, slightly breathless.
"I was busy," I whispered, leaning against the cold tile wall.
A low hum came through the speaker. "Busy doing what?"
I smirked, knowing exactly what he wanted to hear. "Thinking about you."
