A Day For Us

Jinman

The warmth of her body still lingered on my skin, even as we sat across from each other in the hotel lounge. Sunlight filtered through the tall glass windows, casting a golden glow over Eva's face. She was stirring her coffee absentmindedly, her lips slightly parted, lost in thought.

She looked… different this morning. Softer, as if the sharp edges she always carried with her had dulled, if only for a moment. Her hair was still a little messy from last night, and I could see the faintest hint of a mark on her neck...the kind of proof that she was mine.

I fought the urge to reach across the table, to touch her, to pull her into me again. But this moment wasn't about desire...it was about something deeper.

"You're quiet," I said, watching her.

Eva blinked, then gave me a small smile. "Just thinking."

"About what?"
