Chapter 25: A famous guy

As Si Mok and the others exited the hospital, they were greeted by the noise of a large, excited crowd. People were yelling and cheering, their attention focused on someone nearby. Kang Jae-Sung, clearly enjoying the moment, removed his sunglasses and smirked.

"Woah, woah, ladies! One at a time!" he shouted confidently, expecting the crowd to rush toward him.

To his dismay, the crowd passed him entirely, their excitement directed at another man who was surrounded by fans. Kang's jaw tightened, and the veins on his forehead began to pop in frustration.

"Who the hell is that guy?" he grumbled.

Lee Man Ho glanced at the man and smirked. "That's Kwak Ji Beom. He's a new actor, and apparently, he's gotten pretty famous lately."

Kang crossed his arms, fuming. "Hmph, he looks like a bad person."

Han Park, chuckling, patted Kang on the back. "Yeah, sure, buddy. Keep telling yourself that," he said sarcastically.

As the group climbed into their cars, Kang continued to sulk, but the rest ignored his antics. The convoy soon split off, with each member heading in a different direction.

While in his car, Si Mok, also known as Lee Jin Ho, made a call to the assemblyman's allies who were conspiring to remove him from power. "I found something against the assemblyman," he told them, his voice calm but resolute. The information he had obtained could prove to be a crucial step in dismantling the assemblyman's empire.

Meanwhile, Kang Jae-Sung, Han Park, Osamu, and Lee Man Ho arrived at an abandoned area. They parked their cars in a secluded spot and proceeded on foot, moving cautiously toward a distant warehouse where faint lights and muffled voices could be seen and heard.

The group approached the warehouse carefully, studying the guard rotations. Kang and Han, eager for action, were prepared to rush in immediately, but Osamu and Lee Man Ho stopped them.

"Patience," Osamu whispered. "We wait for an opening."

After what felt like an eternity, the opportunity presented itself. Only one security guard was stationed outside on each side of the warehouse. The group split up, taking down the guards silently. Once the perimeter was secure, they regrouped near the main gate, with one of them keeping watch in case anyone emerged.

The group then moved toward the windows, climbing inside with practiced stealth. Using the horizontal beams along the ceiling, they navigated the interior without alerting anyone below. They made their way to the far corner of the warehouse, near the toilets, and quietly dropped down into the small space.

They didn't have to wait long before two gangsters entered the toilet area. As they opened the stall doors, they were met with the unexpected sight of strangers hiding inside. Before they could react, Lee Man Ho and Osamu struck swiftly, knocking them out and dragging their unconscious bodies aside.

Meanwhile, at a police station across town, Si Mok's older brother was seated in his office, poring over a set of documents. His eyes widened in shock as he read through the information, piecing together a critical connection that could expose the assemblyman's operations. Without hesitation, he picked up his phone and sent a message to Lee Jin Ho.

"Meet me. I've found something against the assemblyman."

Back at the warehouse, the group quietly positioned themselves, ready to explore further. With the guards outside neutralized and their entry undetected, the stage was set for them to uncover whatever secrets the warehouse held.
