Meet lovers

Zuri entered Liam's room with a cup of tea that she had prepared according to Anya's instructions. Liam liked his tea without sugar. Just imagining the taste made Zuri cringe. It tasted very bitter. Whereas she liked things sweet.

"I brought you tea." Liam was still focused on the reports in front of him, as if Zuri's words were just a small distraction that didn't deserve his attention.

"Just tell me what you really want, Zuri. No need for pleasantries," Liam said in a cold tone.

"I want you to give me the freedom to travel. I didn't marry you out of love. So you must understand my heart. I truly hate you both, past, present and future.

"Get to the point, Zuri. Don't go around in circles," she replied calmly but firmly, finally deciding to look at Zuri with deep, sharp eyes.

"Actually, I have a boyfriend. You know that famous model named Simon? Because my father forced me to marry you, our relationship didn't work out." Zuri explained so that Liam would know if she loved someone. The reason Elara, who was currently inside Zuri, softened a bit towards Liam, who had a face like Prince Tristan, was Simon. He was happy that Axel was alive in this world again, even if he had to marry Liam, who looked like the Prince Tristan he hated so much.

"So?"

"I want to meet him. You know, I had an accident before we got married. I lost my memory a little bit, so I forgot some things. So I want to check my memory with him. Can I ask Anya to accompany me to meet him ?" Zuri asked something she didn't know if Liam would grant her or not. But at least she had tried to say it.

"All right, you'll get what you want. Go and come back before nightfall. My bodyguard will take you with Anya," Liam said, which made Zuri very surprised and happy. It was so easy for Liam to grant her wishes.

"Thank you, I'll be right back," Zuri said and immediately ran out of Liam's room.

Zuri couldn't contain her excitement when she heard Liam's answer. She had not expected Liam grant her request so easily.

Outside Liam's room, Zuri found Anya waiting at the door. Anya's face showed surprise when she saw Zuri come out in a hurry.

"Is everything okay?" Anya asked, although she could guess the answer from the look on Zuri's face.

Zuri just smiled broadly. "I did it! Liam let me meet Simon today."

Anya smiled happily. But she wasn't so sure about the ease of her employer. Liam was never like that. Zuri wasn't the only one who had been set up with Liam. There had been several girls, and it hadn't ended well. That made Anya a little worried. But she hoped that everything would be okay this time.

Meanwhile, in the room, Liam sat quietly, his eyes focused on the report in front of him. But behind that calm, his mind was working very fast. He allowed Zuri to leave, but not without a reason.

Moments later, Zuri was sitting in a luxury car that Liam had arranged. The bodyguard and Anya sat in the front seat while she sat in the back, watching the scenery go by outside the window. Her heart was beating fast, between excitement and nervousness. This was the moment she had been waiting for, the chance to meet Simon.

The car stopped in front of an exclusive restaurant. Liam's bodyguard pointed it out as the place where Simon was. Simon had blocked Zuri's number, making it very difficult for her to contact his lover. Also, Simon had said that they had broken up.

Zuri let out a long sigh. "This is it," she muttered. She got out of the car with steady steps while Anya and her bodyguards watched closely.

"Honey." Zuri called Simon affectionately when she was near. And without prompting, Zuri immediately hugged Simon tightly. That was Elara's feeling too, so happy to see Axel again.

"Zuri, what are you doing here?" Simon asked as he returned Zuri's hug.

"Don't you miss me? You were so cruel to break up with me unilaterally." Zuri cried in Simon's arms. Or rather Elara, who cried because she could see Axel again.

"Axel, don't go away again," Elara murmured in Zuri's body.

Zuri released her hug and looked at Simon.

"Listen carefully. I've married Liam according to what Father wanted. But our marriage is only an agreement on paper. Liam has promised not to touch me and will let me go when it's over. Then I'll return to you. I hope you will keep your heart for me. I will keep myself for you, how?" Zuri explained her current situation to Simon without hiding anything.

Simon's face looked a little disappointed, but he immediately covered it with a smile.

"I have no problem with your marriage. As long as your husband agrees to it. I still love you very much. But your father is like someone who wants to finish me off. That's why I decided to retire. You know, my career is my dream. I hope you understand." Simon spoke as he gently stroked Zuri's hair.

"I'm glad you still love me. Don't worry, Dad can't do anything if Liam protects our relationship. I'll ask him for protection. Hopefully he won't make it difficult. After that, I'll try to get half of Liam's estate when he divorces me. Then we will live happily ever after," Zuri said with an enthusiastic face. She wanted to be happy with Simon. Or rather Elara, who was very happy to be with Axel in Simon's form.

"Hmmm ... looks like I have to think about his words. This is an advantage for me and my family."

Zuri smiled at Simon's thoughts. She was glad that Simon would think about his words.

"Well, take good care of yourself at the Hayes residence. Rumor has it that Mr. Liam is very ugly and also likes to torture women. I hope you are well. I'm afraid he might hurt you," Simon said, smiling sweetly at Zuri.

Zuri laughed at Simon's words about what Liam Hayes looked like. If Simon knew if Liam Hayes was very handsome, he would be very surprised. If Zuri could give an honest rating, then Liam's good looks were above Simon's.

"I'll take good care of myself. Even though Liam is very ugly. But he won't withdraw his agreement." Zuri spoke with a chuckle. It turned out that the rumor about Liam's ugly face was very popular.

"Honey, Simon... where are you?" a woman's voice called out to Simon, causing Zuri to immediately turn her head.

"Who is she?"
