Rumors has it that people who obtain the system they have, weren't lucky. But they were chosen.

Some say it has a mind of its own, some would admit that it's not true.

A system is what those obtained it call: an opportunity. To be better or to be for worse, that is why they're chosen with the system they had.

It suits them for who they are as a person.

Nobody knows how it all started. But everyone knows it's a responsibility befallen on their own hands.

Chai would arrive back at the classroom, the next class was about to start but when she looked at Zodiac's chair, he was not there.

"It's already starting.. Don't tell me he's skipping class. Even if he's that bored of it, he wouldn't do that."

She sighed, scratching her head before walking over to her own desk, sitting on her chair as she waited for him to arrive. Staring outside the window as she began thinking of deep thoughts in her mind.

"I really want to go out of this city, Skima City isn't really living up to the hype. Maybe Tokyo?"

She shrugged before hearing a chair move behind her, in an instant, she would turn around to see Zodiac sitting down, an expressionless face glued to him.

"Dude, you were about to be in trouble if you were late.. Where were you?"

"Oh.."

Zodiac would look at her, before looking elsewhere while resting a finger on his lip, as he answers.

"I was.. talking to someone!"

This raised Chai's suspicion, she has known him for almost 16 years, and the thought of him talking to a stranger was low.

She would glare at him hard while he smiled, a bit too happy, before turning around to see the teacher now arriving at the front of the class. Another boring class session was about to start.

Meanwhile, on the other dimension of the school.

Zodiac was running through the hall of the school, the floor he was at coincidentally is also the floor of the classroom he was in.

"How did I even make noise?!"

[Time: 00:44:56]

Whilst running, behind him was the corrupted angel that was chasing after him by flight, although for some reason, he was almost on par with the speed she was at, making it impossible to reach him unless she flies faster.

He would turn a hard right to the corner before getting inside a random room once again, panting heavily as he locked the door, his body falling on the floor as the corrupt angel flew past the room he was in.

A sigh of relief coming out of his mouth as he lays down on the floor flat.

"This is so hard.. And I have to do this for 43 more minutes? I'd rather get killed by that monster at this point. Literal laser out of her spear that can disintegrate anything, and flight. How the hell am I supposed to survive against that?!"

Complaints are bliss. Slowly, he would stand up, still panting in a tired manner as he tries to compose himself, what he needed was a plan, not a panic attack.

"Alright alright.. The system did say I am the owner of it now.. Can I use it? Uh.."

He paused for a moment before thinking what the name of it was, knocking the side of his head gently, then remembering the name.

"VN System.. Uh, turn on?"

Those words came out unsure and confused at the same time, although, the system screen did appear at least.

[Greetings Atomic.]

"Oh it remembers my name, well I am the owner.. How do I use it?"

[Access Denied.]

"..what? I'm the owner right? So.."

He paused, letting out a confused laugh, his hand would pull his hair back, showing how he was almost getting mad.

"So why the hell is this not working?!"

He stated angrily, and almost loud, causing the vibration of his voice to go through the school building. Not because it was VERY loud, but because of the sensitive hearing of the corrupt angel, that was at the other side of the school already.

"Come on work!"

[Access Denied. Mission must be finished in order to have full access for the VN System.]

"You have to be kidding me.. Then what do I even get?!"

He said, his anger almost boiling as he was about to crashout. The system screen would disappear after what he said, only for another to appear, saying:

[System Owners gain the Limit End. Giving enhanced human strength, speed, energy, and endurance.]

"Wait so.. The reason why I didn't get caught by that.. Monster was because I'm now stronger?"

Zodiac was confused, he hadn't known nor noticed, he thought he was just running like his life depended on it. But to hear the system tell that he has now abnormal strength than an average human's, made him feel glad.

"Man.. That's at least good, thanks System."

The System screen would disappear as he sighed in relief, out of nowhere, a bright light would get in his eyes, it came from the window.

"What the? What's that?"

He walked to the window, getting up close and personal, to see the corrupt angel that was floating far away from where he was, the edge of the spear pointing directly towards him, there was already a ball of energy charged up that was ready to fire at any moment.

Zodiac would soon notice as his expression was terrified, slowly backing away the window before turning to the door to run.

The corrupt angel would soon fire a huge dark energy ray at the building where he was, easily disintegrating the left entirety of the school building, leaving nothing but particles of it floating.

Lowering the spear, it would look around to see if Zodiac was there. And no sign of him was seen.

The angel would let out a sigh, despite it being headless. Looking up at the sky for the system to bring her back to where she belonged.

Seconds passed by.

Then a minute.

Then a few minutes...

She realized that he wasn't gone.

All of a sudden, a hard force would push against her stomach, she would look down to see Zodiac. Punching the core of her body while having a smirk.

"Hey there.. You can't kill me that easily."

She was confused how he survived.. But he would explain it for no reason.

"How that huge ray of yours missed? Well.. I quickly punched every floor beneath me until I got deep enough. Of course I covered the hole as well."

The corrupt angel was trembling, her arms shaking as she couldn't bring herself to point his spear at him.

"And I kept myself quiet by not making any noise at all.. I had to hold my breathe for minutes you know? Now then.."

Zodiac smirked before pushing more force into his fist, punching her harder as he sent her flying through the air, hitting the barrier that was covering around the dimension.

He would jump down from the tall building and landing on the ground, cracking his knuckles while stretching his arms out. He stared at her, seeing the monster fall on the hard ground, he felt ecstatic.

"If it wasn't for the system telling me I can almost get on par with a monster, then I would've hid and ran instead."

The corrupt angel would slowly stagger, her body shaking as she reached for the handle of her spear.

Zodiac was shocked that she still had the energy to even move, let alone stand up in front of him. Looking at her with a surprised face, he thought this was over, but he underestimated her.

Suddenly, the corrupt angel would stand up straight despite staggering, she lifted her spear up with pride, before pointing the spearhead directly at the middle of her burning soul.

"Is it-"

Before Zodiac could finish his sentence, she instantly penetrated herself with the spear, chunks of yellowish liquid coming out of the part where she had stabbed herself.

He thought to himself that he had won, the battle was over. Checking the system's time.

[Time: 00:35:45]

"Why isn't it ending? She stabbed herself.."

Zodiac was too busy looking at the time ticking the seconds down, his face confused before suddenly hearing a cracking sound.

He looked up to see the corrupt angel's body beginning to crumble itself, the skin coming off like paper. She soon would be covered in a black cocoon.

It only took seconds for the cocoon to move, then cracking, as it bursted open, causing a huge gust of wind to pass by, the wind was harsh and heavy, almost causing Zodiac to get pushed back, but he stood his ground.

Then came out the corrupt angel. Now in its new form. And surprisingly, the new form had a face, a beautiful face like an angel would have. Added with a very black long hair that would flow each second passed by.

"Woah.. That's new."

Zodiac chuckled as he smirked in a confident manner, readying himself in case the monster would rush at him.

The monster's eyes would flutter open, she had no eyes, it was only emptiness inside her eye sockets, she looked down to see Zodiac before speaking.

"Mortal. I am Dema. Judge of the VN System."

She spoke in a calming way, but her voice was distorted and heavy, causing him to ease slightly as he stood straight.

"Mind telling me why you're trying to kill me if you're the judge?"

"Is it not obvious mortal? To test your skills and strengths, to see if you have the potential, the control.. The responsibility to wield such a great system in your hands."

"You're saying that as if the system I have is something broken.. I don't even get to use it unless I defeat you."

"But of course, such a system is not rewarded so easily."

Zodiac was curious about what this 'Judge' was telling him, is the system really that powerful? Or was she just lying so he would lower his guard? He couldn't believe her, so he had many questions wanting to be answered.

"Then tell me.. Does everyone experience this kind of.. Trial, just to get a stupid system?"

"Nay. The only ones who experience, what you say, a trial. Are the people who have obtained an abnormal system. It is what your people call.. Overpowered."

"Overpowered.. Yeah sure, I doubt that this system is broken anyways."

"Then.."

The Judge would soon float towards Zodiac, as the two of them now sizing up each other. With him looking up at her, not an ounce of fear shown at his face, while she showed almost mercy and and kindness despite the fact she tried to kill me.

"Would you like to know what kind of power.. System, you have stumbled upon?"

"...nah."

"Oh?"

"I'll find it out myself, after I beat you."

"How foolish. Have it your way mortal. Death awaits you."

The two of them suddenly jump back, only a few feet away as they stood, they looked at each other with a confident expression. Then the Judge spoke again.

"If.. You beat me, then I shall explain to you everything you would like to be answered."

"Really? I thought I'll get you instead if I beat you."

"Flattery won't get you anywhere mortal."

Zodiac would raise his hands up, his fists balled tightly as it formed a defensive stance. While the Judge stayed standing straight.

The pressure and tension was heavy, the wind flowing through the darkness that covered the area of the school.

It was intense, Zodiac had never expected his life to experience this kind of thrill.. It made him feel alive again in his boring everyday life. It felt like a spark had ignited him to be his old self again.

The Judge's body moved slightly, and this caused Zodiac to widen his eyes and get prepared.

The two of them rushing at each other, Zodiac's eyes glowed a faint black line as he ran towards her, the Judge's eyes glowed a bright yellow line whilst heading at him.

Zodiac would pull his right arm back, balling his fist tight enough, then putting enough force to push it back, he was about to give the meanest punch he had ever made.

As the Judge would do a palm heel strike, blocking the punch directly with the middle of her palm.

This caused the entire area around them to create a crater, causing an explosive gust of wind and dust of the dirt. Leaving to no view as to what happened.
