A barrage of slashes came at the straw dummy, a sword tearing to it like smooth butter and reducing it to pieces. The parts fell to the ground, smoking as the straw was burnt and singed, and Adaceus halted his strike, lowering his sword and patted away at his arms.
He was tired now, breathing heavily from the rigorous attack he gave the dummy.
The torn through parts of the dummy then disappeared into spectacles of bright colored dust to nothing, and another took its place in a flash of light, newly constructed and untouched on the rows of its kind.
Adaceus was ready to strike, deeply planting his feet to the ground and motioned a lunge, preparing to attack, until an unseen presence alerted his senses like lightning hitting his brain, causing him to stumble forward. His swords weight weighed him down, and he fell forward, tripping on himself. He expected to hit the ground face first and he closed his eyes, bracing for impact, but as he descended he noticed he abruptly stopped mid air. There was something keeping him from falling down, and he felt something behind him holding him up by the collar of his leather armor.
He stood himself up, unlatching himself from the grip and turned around, and saw a woman stood behind him.
"Oh, Rinita, its you," he said with an uneven tone.
He proceeded to sheathe his sword to his back.
"What is it?"
"Lord Hainan asked for me to come get you, you see, the lady is currently returning and will be here shortly, and it would be well if you accompany him in greeting her home."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, so come now, Mr. Hainan is waiting and he is very eager."
"Alright, understood."

They walked to the main hall, their steps echoing across it. Adaceus, with Rinita by his side, reached the main hall of this home. It was glowing, literally, as all the chandeliers, the lanterns, or any source that produces light, were activated, turned on to radiate light that bedazzled the space like gold and diamonds.
Hainan approached them, climbing down the flight of stairs and greeted them with a massive grin.
They met at the bottom, and grouped together before proceeding to the front.
"You seem happy, Mr. Hainan."
"I am, my family is going to be returning soon and I couldn't be happier!" Squealing he said, "and I cant wait for you to meet them."
"I look forward to it."
They waited and waited, and after a couple of minutes, Rinita stepped to the door, taking a peek outside, and she seemed to be greeting them, before opening it, letting figures in.
There were two adolescent's, one a boy, who was weakly in his appearance. His hair was similar to his fathers, but with a tinge of white in a couple of strands and was kept short and neat. A face with saggy eyes, weary and tired, that had thick dark bags under them. His expression was one of a very exhausted person, but however wearied he may be it still didn't take away the good looks he had.
Another followed, this time a girl. Adaceus could only describe her as bountiful, a pretty face and a very healthy body that accentuated the good parts of a woman's shape. She wore something like a uniform, a black suit with a ribbon on her neck and a short trimmed skirt, and covering her was a robe with the cowl hung down. Her features were plump and appealing, with large eyes and thin lashes that were full off energy, and her cheeks were rosy pink and puffy, and her glowing white hair that was accented with blue, was short, only reaching to her neck.
The girl ran toward Hainan, jumping on him into a hug.
"Daaaaad!" She cried, "I'm so glad your okay!!"
"Whoa, hold on! Calm down Dionella!"
"No, no! You had me so worried! I could hardly wait to go home!" She said, rubbing fiercely on his chest and squeezing even more tight.
"She's right, dad, you had us going for a while, why the heck did you think going out at night would be a good idea when you knew it was dangerous?"
"Okay, ouch," Hainan said as he rubbed the hair of the girl that clung to him, "You don't have to pile on me like that Leanor."
"I am, because it was stupid," the boy said, his tired face changing to annoyed anger, an almost sarcastic expression.
"Yeah! It was!" The girls said, the words muffled as her face was still pressed on his chest.
"Okay, take it easy."
The girl then let go of Hainan, her face angry and her cheeks even more puffy.
A smaller figure also suddenly went in, a child, just a little bit smaller than him ran full sprint through the door.
"PAAPAAA!!" The little one screamed up.
Hainan carried the little boy in his arms and raised him upward.
"Hahaha! How is my boy! Did you have fun at camp?"
"Yeah! Yeah!" the child giggled, "They taught us a lots of cool stuff over there!"
Hainan chuckled, "I'm glad!"
They exchanged chuckles together, and before long Hainan put him back down to the ground.
Another one approached the door, it was a women that he surmised was the wife, and she was considerably large in her stature, tall enough that she had to duck just to fit into the door.
In the words that Adaceus could muster, a warlord entered the home.
She was dressed regal clothing, a deep dark blue suit that was wrapped under a long, black coat that was undressed by Rinita, who she towered over. She entered with an aura of power, a stoic, unmoving expression, giving a presence of power and might. A sword hung from her waist, A large and well crafted one, indicating her profession of a warrior, and Adaceus could tell she was experienced with it.
Her built was sizeable and large, a lean physique with her body bulging with muscle, big enough to be visible in the outline of her clothes, but still containing a feminine essence.
She was beautiful.
Her face was sharp and sleek, like a refined and smooth alabaster mask that was cleanly cut to form beautiful face, pale and untouched, and her hair swayed with every movement, with a white color that was kept long and wavy, with enough volume for it to seem like a cloud. Her eyes were thick with eyelashes, long and pointy peaks that glossed and shined, and within was black colored eyes that sucked in light from anywhere like small little voids.
Her presence made him deeply uncomfortable, and a palpable essence was surrounding her, but he couldn't make sense of it, even asking himself why.
Hainan went closer to her and hugged his oversized wife, and she responded by hugging him back, almost carrying him off his feet. It was lasted quite a while, and Hainan unlatched at the end of it.
Quickly, like a catastrophe appearing spontaneously, Adaceus's worry of her made all the sense.
"Dear," she said softly, almost to a quite whisper, but it crackled like thunder.
Adaceus eye sheened crimson, and the woman's form suddenly became engulfed with rampaging gales of energy, rendering the room they were in to shake and tremble from the undulating waves of power. Powerful expulsions of white energy, much like that of Rinita's when he first felt them, but awfully more powerful and mighty, rampaged across the surroundings like a storm, and Adacues only stared dumfounded and appalled, an expression shared by all that was in this room.
What the hell! Adaceus thought.
"W-what is it? Honey?" Hainan asked in distress, his face almost pushed back by the intense waves attacking him.
"Why do I smell the scent of unfamiliar women in here? Explain," she said this as here eyes turned fierce, turning crazed and wide, with veins appearing out of the skin of her face, replacing the enchanting beauty into something akin to a beast.
All present, the kids and the adolescents and even Adaceus, braced themselves from the incoming forces, doing anything they can to shield themselves, either by covering their faces or grabbing to something close by.
The woman then held on Hainan's shoulder, her hand emanating a strong white energy similar to a wildfire, that miraculously didn't harm him.
"Oh, no, no, no, You misunderstand!" Frantic, Hainan defended himself.
"Really, then what is it? What is it that I don't understand?"
The energy burst stronger again, and her expression even more terrifying as she went closer to Hainan's face, staring daggers at him.
"I think that's quite enough, Lady Blaidhund."
The voice of an old women suddenly interrupted. Thankfully that seemed to stop the violent rush of energy, as all at once the torrents disappeared as if it weren't there, and the women responsible for it calmed, her expression returning to normal.
"Enid, its you," the women said.
"Quite so, Lady Blaidhund," she gave a bow, "I am glad to see you return home safely, welcome back."
Just then shuffling could be heard, and two small little girls went to Enid's side and stared at the newly arrived group of people.
"EEEE!!~" The girl, Dionella, suddenly squealed out a glass shattering noise, "Who are these adorable, witlle babyyys!"
She hopped close and kneeled down to where they met with eye to eye. The girls met her eager, sparkling gaze, with dull silence, but as Dionella's affection was left with a dead response, that didn't deter her a bit, and resorted to reach her arms out and moved her palms to perform squeezing motions.
Enid chuckled, "Now, I believe this are the things responsible for the scent."
The woman then took a long inhale of air, ending with a lick of her lips.
"Yes, that's right."
"Good, that should prove Lord Hainan's innocence, gosh, I wish you wouldn't be so hard on him."
That seemed to put a dent on the woman's stoic expression, and a face of guilt even appeared on her face, a twinge of her cheek and eye, though for just a brief moment.
"Who are they anyway?"
"O-oh," Hainan was the one to speak. She turned to him and he flinched.
"T-those, are with Adaceus, you know, the one who saved me."
As if it was on que, he turned to her with a flick of her head.
"Him?"
"Yes, dear, that's him."
All attention was on him now, with the entirety of Hainan's family, all staring at him with curiosity and wide eyed interest.
They both went close and Hainan moved to his side, placing his hand on Adaceus's shoulder, shaking it.
"This is Adaceus," he looked to him, "And Adaceus, this is my wife, Ingridt Elena Ruthen L'taire Blaidhund."
She looked to him and Adaceus met her gaze, those black orbits in her eyes overwhelmed him with a sinking feeling, causing him to flinch as a response. He noticed he was shaking in her presence staring down at him, and as he tried to calm himself down, he noticed, without him realizing, had his hand on the handle of his blade with it ready to draw.
He looked to her again, still bearing the same emotionless face.
"I feel we need to talk privately," she said turning to Hainan, "don't we, dear?"
Hainan wildly nodded without hesitation.
