Chapter 24: Xian Wu becomes the Great Emperor

Xian Wu took on the astrolabe and the other party's space ring in search of Xian Yue, but he found Xian Yue sleeping soundly on a lounge chair with the lakeside sun beating down on his exposed skin.

"You're not the slightest bit worried that Xian Zhan might lose?" Xian Wu questioned him, baffled.

"There's no need to worry. The opponent is merely a half-step Law Manifestation Realm. Even if he were fully at the Law Manifestation Realm, he still wouldn't be a match for Xian Zhan!" Xian Yue said with his eyes still closed.

"Is he that strong?" Xian Wu's eyes went wide with understanding at the division of realms, including how the Spiritual Wheel Realm came in between the Soul formation Realm and the Law Manifestation Realm.

"How would he be able to defeat someone within the Law Manifestation Realm with his Soul formation Realm's strength? It is simply unbelievable!"

"The special body he has is extremely mighty, and he can square off against opponents two realms above him without any problem. This depends on his current low realm, though. As his cultivation grows, the benefits of his body will fade gradually. Not to worry, though; until he reaches the Immortal Realm, he can probably deal with average opponents as if he were two realms higher. Conflicts with other special physiques depend on his background!" Xian Chen stretched, his eyes now finally opening.

He knew that the Eternal Sword Body is actually such a great treasure, and he had acquired it through the system.

"If it's such a good treasure, why don't you fuse with it yourself?" Xian Wu asked aloud. In case he unites it with that special physique, wouldn't he get any stronger?

"It wouldn't help me. I am already invincible, so nothing that reinforces my body will improve my fighting ability!"

"And besides, I can take on whatever form which is available at will. Why should I meld with a physique?".

He produced the spoils of his previous adventures-the astrolabe, to be specific. Even Xian Zhan had never seen it.

Xian Yue had never, in his life, seen an astrolabe, but the moment he caught a glimpse of it, images flashed through his mind. He saw Lu Zhui holding the astrolabe and searching for the heart of the stars.

"Well, I finally get it now!" he exclaimed, realizing the purpose of the astrolabe at once.

"What does it do?" Xian Wu asked.

"To find the Star Centre, and to assist in finding treasures, "

"Star Heart? What's that for?"

"It's like the Heart of the Universe but whilst the Heart of the Universe can command an entire universe at will, the Star Heart can only control a single Star Domain and hence is an inferior copy of the Heart of the Universe."

Holding the astrolabe out to Xian Wu, Xian Yue continued, "Later, we can make some more of this and give them to those tribesmen who like traveling. Whoever finds the Star Heart first becomes the lord of our Star Domain!"

"Wait, imitation? Who among our Xian family is capable of making something so wonderful aside from you?"

"You can, Dad!"

"Me? Are you kidding me? I'm only at the Golden core Realm. How would I even design something like this?" Xian Lingtian replied, stunned. After all, he had learned a lot in the Soul formation Realm recently, but he was hardly anywhere close to knowing the secrets of the astrolabe.

Just as he was lost in thoughts, a fruit with five leaves appeared in front of him, shining with a shimmering mysterious aura.

"What is this?" Xian Wu asked, perplexed.

"You'll know once you merge with it!" Xian Yue smiled.

Seemed only fitting for the Great Emperor Dao to gift such a thing to his dad after all, right?

"Could it be some sort of extraordinary bodily origin?" Xian Wu asked, a squeak in his voice.

"It's not nearly as potent as Xian Zhan's original physicality, but it's still quite the masterpiece!"

"Alright then I'll accept it!" Xian Wu agreed, and under the tutelage of Xian Yue, he began to merge with the extraordinary fruit.

Under Xian Yue's tutelage, merging continued to speed through. In a short time, an overpowering aura burst from Xian Wu but was contained by Xian Yue for it not to expand.

If it had been given leave to escape, it would have enjoyed the unrestricted pressure of imperial power streaming across the entire Star Domain and Feihua City, completely wiping out everything in its wake.

Xian Wu's eyes widened in amazement after a brief moment as he felt the incredible power coursing through him.

"What is happening? Why do I feel like I can change anything just by gesturing?"

He was frighteningly powerful-he could crush his old self with a flick of his fingers.

Just like that, a brilliant golden ray came out from the Tiandao Golden List and a voice was heard that said, "Congratulations to Xian Wu, now a Great Emperor, now placed fifth on the Tiandao Golden List. The Heavenly Dao rewards you for the Stone of Immortality!"

Such stunning news shook the entire universe to its roots. On the Tiandao Golden List, Xian Wu's name had jumped past the "Zhenhai Great Emperor," now ranking sixth.

Everyone was stumped.

"Who is Xian Wu? How can he suddenly be a Great Emperor?"

"Only the greatest in the Quasi-Emperor Realm can become a Great Emperor. What in the heck is happening with this Xian Wu? I do not recall ever seeing his name listed on the gold list beforehand. So why did he receive that rank now?"

"Supreme Heaven, are you delusional? How in the world did a Great Emperor just magically appear? Is that because there can only be nine Great Emperors that exist at any given time? Something is seriously wrong."

"Might it be that some unaccounted for occurrences are occurring in the world?"

In the midst of all this chaos, some began to wonder even about the Tiandao, but no response came. After all, not everyone was Xian Yue, with the fortitude and stature to make such bold actions.

Xian? Is this new Great Emperor somehow connected to the one now ranked number one?

The Great Emperor, being the second one on the Gold List of Time and Space, stroked his brow as he thought while traveling in the realms. He furrowed it again when he heard the divine declaration.

Nine Great Emperors can exist at any given time. Of course, for tens of thousands of years, the law stands unwavering. So, the head cryptic being might have used some unknown art for another to replace him and be known as the Great Emperor.

"Ah, as expected of the top-tier existence; it's actually really formidable!"

"Perhaps this person is indeed the legendary Immortal or even a more fearful existence. That elder must definitely know immortality. I have to find him!"

A few more Great Emperors felt the same way as Time and Space Great Emperor: departed searching throughout the universe for any sign of Xian Yue in the hope that he might be able to guide them on the path to immortality.

Meanwhile, cosmic wars were most intense ever as goodies written on the Tiandao Golden List appeared too enticing, especially those that can elongate human lifespan, including golden arowana and the longevity grass.
