Chapter 47: Two Sects Clash

He didn't even mention it initially, as it was already more than a few years since Xian Yan had failed to make any progress in his cultivation. Xian Yan would be bothered by it if he said something.

But everything was now different. Xian Yan was, now impossibly talented and had a strong physique. He might just become able to do something that was unachievable before, so Xian Xiantian would have to confess the truth to him.

"Do you know about the other side of the starry sky?" Xian Yan asked in total bewilderment.

"Exactly. I can't tell where it is, but some call it the Emperor's Daughter. Maybe one day, when you are stronger, you'll be able to find it as well! "

"I will! No matter how far it is, I'm determined to bring my mom back!"

"That's the spirit! Let's work hard together as father and son!" Xian Xiantian said with an encouraging pat on Xian Yan's shoulder.

Xian Yan stared at his father. When had he become so optimistic?

"Thanks to the fairy pool, my shattered meridians have healed and I can cultivate again!"

"The man who destroyed my meridians will pay for his actions!" Xian Xiantian declared his fists clenched, his voice cold with vengeance.

A grin spread across Xian Yan's face; his father had finally regained his fighting spirit

"Alright, let's unite our strengths and bring our mother back!" Xian Yan declared.

"Agreed!"

Having witnessed the above conversation, Xian Yue could not but click his tongue in admiration. "Not only has he awakened, but he's also unlocked the Supreme Immortal Body and reached the Soul formation Realm. It seems all the effort invested over the years has finally paid off!"

"You mean Xian Yan has broken through to the Soul formation Realm?" Xian Yuanshan exclaimed, eyes wide with incredulity.

"Go see for yourself!" Xian Yue replied.

"But…' Xian Yuanshan started, but Xian Yue pressed on with intrigue, "What happened to Uncle Xiantian? How did he end up like this?"

"Well, he once went out and roamed around, like Xian Zhan. Nobody knows what happened, but one day he came back to the clan drenched in blood, with Xian Yan in his hands."

"Upon inspection, it became apparent that not only had he received serious injuries, but his meridians have also been torn apart!"

"We tried to cure him, but unfortunately, no matter how hard we tried, nothing improved. He said the attacker was extremely powerful and had left some kind of energy within him. From his point of view, until this energy is released, cure is impossible!"

"Recently, though, I heard he's able to practice again after soaking in the fairy pool. His general condition has greatly improved, and he appears to have gotten over his earlier despair, which is a relief!"

Xian Yue rubbed his chin thoughtfully. This felt eerily reminiscent of a protagonist's journey.

Just then, he was distracted by the outside of the family compound.

"What is it?" Xian Yuanshan asked, perplexed.

"A war has broken out between the two camps, and the centre of the battle is here in Feihua City. What are they thinking?"

BOOM!

A man was sent flying through mid-air and slammed onto a house that crumbled to pieces in a second. Then, Xian Ran dropped from the sky, pummeling his opponent's chest, killing him dead on the spot without a shred of pity.

Thus, victory often led to gruesome conclusions in the raging sectarian battle, and such proved all too common within the Nascent Soul realm. Mercy wasn't an option that could be afforded.

Dozens of figures charged at him—monks from the Cangwu Sect, all at the Golden Core Realm.

"Do they think they can send Golden Core Realm monks to take me down? How insulting!" Xian Ran shouted coldly, his fist swinging into the fray like a relentless predator. Blood spurted forth as several corpses were sent flying across the street.

"It's not about underestimating you; I just want to wear you down!"

As Xian Ran sent the last of the dozen opponents crashing to the ground, two more figures materialized to stand in his way and cut off his escape routes. These were both monks from the Nascent Soul Realm.

"Then come! Let's see what your Cangwu Sect can do!" Xian Ran rallied, fueled by his new strength after bathing in the fairy pool, making him feel invincible.

"Prepare to meet your end!"

In a flash, the two figures charged forward.

As the other monks from both camps poured into the fray, their armies surpassed 100,000 in number. Pandemonium pervaded all regions surrounding Feihua City, and the air was stinking from the fight.

The torture continued as bodies fell and splashed into pools of blood. Even the innocent mortals who had built their lives in this city called Feihua were not exempted from this crossfire, suffering heavy losses and untimely death.

It was the poor mortals who had to undergo the most catastrophic effects of the battle of gods-an unfortunate fact.

For them, violence broke out so suddenly that flight became impossible. Thousands of frenzied monks lost sight of humanity in their outburst of anger and took no qualms at killing all those who did not belong to their camp.

This is the stark reality to be a mortal, who is a puppet in the hands of destiny.

It was the only place in Feihua City unscathed by strife. The Xian family compound.

Thousands of tribespeople closed in on the Xian family, an impenetrable wall of protection around their relatives.

"To anyone who dares insult our Xian family, we will take revenge!" Xian Yin shrieked, waving a sword and cutting down a monk who had edged forward waving his own.

Any person, faction aside, who dared to threaten the Xian family had to be dealt with swiftly and mercilessly, as decreed by the elders.

The members of the Xian family had undergone serious training, and their Root Bone qualification now rivaled that of a king-level physique. Their actual combat talents were far and above that of ordinary people.

Xian Yin and the others had recently broken through into the Spiritual Pulse Realm after grueling practice.

In a fierce display, Xian Yin's punch shattered multiple ribs of the opponent, who coughed up blood and collapsed onto the ground.

"How dare you, monks from a small sect, attack my disciples from Cangwu Sect?" an enraged voice called out, leading a group towards Xian Yin and his companions.

"Ha! We're local monks from Feihua City. What are you going to do about it? Are you unhappy with that?" Xian Yin retorted boldly, glaring at them.

"You arrogant fools! Even a mere monk from Feihua City dares to challenge us? You must be seeking death!" They shouted back, reeking with anger due to the perceived affront.

Just as Xian Yin was about to take revenge, he noticed a young man with bandages over his eyes step forward. It was Xian Tian.

Among those participants in the fairy pool, several had already ascended to the Golden COre Realm, thanks to the abundance of cultivation resources within the clan. Alongside flawless spirit stones and divine power pills, there was also a "Thunder Pool," a secret technique of the clan leader.

That pool was the haven of tempering for bodies. Even just tolerating its edge would allow people who dared bear the pain to quickly open up their potential.

Some members of the tribe, having extremely high persistence, had moved into the Golden Core Realm.

"Very well, then. I entrust this to you," Xian Yin said, stepping backward.

In this case, it was of no use for them to interact with those from the Golden Core Realm.
