Chapter 66: Yunxiao Dynasty, Destroyed!

In a world where power and cultivation determine your destiny, there was a critical understanding of opportunity versus mere capability. Coming from a better family than the Xian clan, he could see that even with the conditions that were far superior to his own, he was still being hindered from moving forward along the rigorous cultivation paths, most ending in stagnation.

Indeed, he had closely followed the development of Xian Wu and held high hopes that this young man was sure to break through to realms far beyond the half-step Body integration Realm. It was something he simply couldn't imagine: someone like Xian Wu, from a background like that, could only have reached such heights through sheer effort and talent. He knew that the circumstances surrounding this had to be far more complex than what lay on the surface.

"Father, don't worry! I swear to you, someday I will stand at such a height that even Xian Wu would look at me up high in pride and I will surely retrieve our family's honor!" declared Yue Linger with irrevocable determination, glowing with resolve.

Yue Zifeng, her father, laughed heartily, with pride welling up inside of him. "Of course, my daughter! You have a royal body. How can you be compared to someone like Xian Wu, who is only a mortal? "

His words rang with a confident tone, reinforcing his faith in his daughter's potential. He believed in the extraordinary lineage they carried, and he was ready to see Yue Linger go past expectations.

Meanwhile, in the conference room of the Xian family, a thick atmosphere was kind of suspended in air. The Grand Elder squirmed uncomfortably, casting a look at the Chief that was utterly distracted. "Chief, what was that move you did just then?" he asked, not faking his confusion.

"What action do you mean?" the Chief said, playing dumb.

"The one where you pressed your finger into the void! Surely, you wouldn't do something like that without reason?"

"It's nothing, just a precaution. I destroyed the Yue Family and Feiyun Sect. Xian Family cannot let any force threat us."

He fixed him with a keen gaze, reading the tension under the surface of his calm. "You don't seem upset by all of this?

"Indignant? Over her?" The Chief snorted, shook his head. "She doesn't even have the power to anger me that much!"

At that instant, Xian Wu's expression transformed. He stared off into space, furrowed his brow. "What's the matter? Did the Yunxiao Dynasty send another battalion to Feihua City? I told them so! Don't they think we are from the Xian household?

Chief Xian Yue exhaled a deep breath. "What's the plan now?"

"What else can we do? We have given them a chance and they've wasted it. The time has come to destroy them. The Yunxiao Dynasty, which carried its ruling family, is now utterly irrelevant. There are consequences to choices, and they will pay for theirs," declared Xian Yue in a cold voice dripping with icy determination.

Xian Wu nodded his head and sped off from the meeting hall, his mind running faster than his bicycle as he thought about how he would battle this new challenger.

On the other side of the mountain, in the most majestic, dashing attire, roamed the silhouette of General Zhenguo riding his fancy beast and brandishing the Divine Sword of Zhenguo. Behind him marched a formidable army of 5,000 soldiers, equipped with armor suits and overlordly creatures under their knees. They were the legendary Golden Dragon Riders of the Yunxiao Dynasty.

A Half-Step Body integration Realm warrior was traveling across these mountain ranges, surrounded by imposing Soul formation Realm warriors and Nascent Soul Realm fighters. Even the ferocious Great Monsters of the mountains were afraid to approach them.

But their spirits had just begun to soar when, above them, a figure materialized, casting a chilling indifference over the army.

"The Yunxiao Dynasty steps forward. Who dares to impede our way?" General Xia Cang shouted, his stare piercing as he aimed it at the stranger, Xian Wu.

"We warned you beforehand to mind your own business within our Xian family's affairs, yet you listen not and trespass once more!" Xian Wu shouted, his voice vibrating with potency.

"So you're one of the Xian clan, eh? General, in that case, you must beheaded!" Xia Cang bellowed, shouting into the mountains as he launched the Kingdom Sword at an angle like a javelin to impale Xian Wu.

Xian Wu just gave a soft smile, with a spark of mischief in his eyes as he caught the sixth-grade spirit weapon as if it weighed no more than nothing. "A wonderful treasure. I'll carry it off!"

Xia Cang's expression shifted from anger to shock. "Who in the world are you?" he stuttered, trying to comprehend the strength of his opponent.

Xian Wu struck back with a swipe of a crushing slap, thumping Xia Cang to the ground.

Meanwhile, seated on his throne in the lavish palace of the Yunxiao Dynasty, Emperor Xia Yangtian looked at the ministers before him as a sense of unease obscured his thinking.

"Your Majesty, something's troubling you?" Prime Minister Xun Zheng asked, concern etching his features.

"I just can't shake the feeling of dread today. It's as if something monumental is about to transpire. I need you to report on any significant events in the dynasty to see if I've missed anything!" Xia Yangtian replied, sitting upright in his seat.

"Your Majesty, nothing of particular note has happened lately. If we are to speak of matters of significance, it would be only that the Xian family in Feihua City, but they…"

Just as Xun Zheng was about to explain, a man suddenly materialized before them in the hall, interrupting the direction of their conversation.

"How could you enter the forbidden areas of my palace?" Xun Zheng thundered, his voice booming with unbridled authority.

Xia Yangtian's magnificent aura rose, awakening a golden dragon that leaned in for protection. "Who dares intrude on the Yunxiao Dynasty?" he declared, his eyes flashing with steel.

Xian Wu looked at the golden dragon with mild interest. "Rather interesting technique you have!" he said, surprised by the imperial emperor's peculiar aura.

"Who are you, and what's the purpose of invading my Yunxiao Dynasty?" Xia Yangtian said sternly, his face set in an unyielding expression.

Xian Wu sighed and shook his head at his own state of dismay. "Why won't you listen to other's advices?"

"What do you mean by that?" Xia Yangtian furrowed his brow, bewildered.

"How dare you, a stranger, tread on the dignity of the Yunxiao Dynasty? Treating imperial dignity with absolute disdain! Xun Zheng retorted angrily. As Prime Minister, how could he allow that?."

"Silence!" spat Xian Wu, his eyes narrowing at the unseen blow Xun Zheng received. The Prime Minister coughed up red froth and collapsed on the grounds as shock rushed through the ministers.

The whole scenario turned cold, each minister wide-eyed, casting furtive glances at each other, trying to gauge the intensity of the situation. The rebel's audacity had crossed all limits, and fear crept into their hearts.

"Who are you? What grievance does the Yunxiao Dynasty hold against you? You dare to kill my Prime Minister here? If you do not provide a satisfactory explanation, I will not let this matter go unpunished!" Xia Yangtian's voice was deep and commanding, showing royalty, even in danger.

"Grievances? None, that I know of. But we did warn you to keep out of the Xian family's affairs, and still you would not listen. You even sent a military force to invade our territory! Do you think the Xian family's words count for nothing? That we are automatically dismissed at your pleasure?" Xian Wu said, his voice full of disappointment and ire.

"What? Xian family? Xian zhi hou? You are from the Xian family?" Xia Yangtian exclaimed, shock washing over him. How could a family located in Feihua City have among it someone of such enormity of power?

He felt as if thunder had struck him. The whole set of acts the Yunxiao Dynasty had been carrying out had rattled the head of the Xian family to this extent.

Xian Wu filled out the space, and the room felt heavier with the tension. Xia Yangtian somehow realized from sitting there that the man in front of him was not just any elder; the head of the Xian family was probably a lot more powerful.

At that moment, a flood of consciousness burst forth from the very centre of Xian Wu, like a dam breaking, and swept across the entire city of Kyoto-to anyone with the blood of royalties. Anyone who had within himself the essence of the Clan of Sovereigns would instantly be washed away by the consciousness without an iota of survivor's chance left.
