Chapter 78:Immortal Dao Puppet

"Poison Pearl? No, I assure you, there is nothing of the sort here!"

The remaining Immortal Venerable spoke, his voice trembling. Despite being a Yin spirit, the fear of death loomed heavily over him.

Xian Yue surveMeid the other Yin spirits surrounding him, and he noticed their heads bobbing up and down like chickens pecking at grain. They were terrified of being harmed by this powerful figure if they seemed hesitant or uncooperative.

"It seems there truly isn't one," Mei Kai sighed. However, recalling his predecessor's promise, he decided to let the matter drop. His main concern was his daughter's well-being, and he hoped to find a solution for her condition.

At that moment, Xian Yue's gaze fell upon a peculiar figure in a distant corner, causing him to halt abruptly.

"What is that?" Xian Yue asked, pointing toward the figure.

"Senior, that is a puppet!" one of the Yin spirits replied.

"A puppet? Is it the kind that can unleash tremendous power when powered by spiritual stones?" Xian Yue asked, intrigued. He had read about puppets in the Anecdotes of Heaven and Earth but never expected to encounter one in person.

Extending his right hand, the puppet flew toward him. As it approached, Xian Yue's eMeis widened in excitement. The design resembled the Gundam robots from Earth.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed that the puppet was crafted from immortal gold, adorned with engravings of Jida-level Immortal Monarch inscriptions. This indicated that once infused with Immortal Crystals, the puppet could unleash combat power comparable to that of an Immortal Monarch.

To clarify, the Immortal Monarch tier is one rank below Immortal Venerable and is considered relatively powerful even among the Immortal Dao beings.

Xian Yue decided to store the puppet away for further examination. If it turned out to be useless, it could still serve as an impressive decoration, reminiscent of his past life's beloved robots.

Next, he expanded his consciousness, enveloping the area around Emperor's Death in search of any other hidden treasures.

Sure enough, he discovered several more Immortal Dao puppets scattered throughout the space. Although they were strong, none matched the initial puppet he had found. Regardless, he collected all of them.

"There's nothing else of interest here; it's time to leave!" Xian Yue declared.

"Where is your home?" he asked Mei Kai.

Mei Kai provided detailed directions, and in an instant, their surroundings blurred. When they regained focus, they found themselves in a bustling city.

Once they had fully vanished from the previous location, the Immortal Venerable in Emperor's Fall breathed a sigh of relief. Although Xian Yue had not exuded any overwhelming aura, he had radiated an unsettling sense of power that terrified the spirit.

"Hey, when I sensed the connection between Yin and Yang, I thought I could return to the underworld. I never imagined the other party would erase all the passageways!"

"However, that doesn't matter. I've detected the presence of Yin spirits in other areas of this Star Domain. This suggests that creatures from the underworld are beginning to infiltrate the Yang world. As long as the ghost mist can reconnect to this location, we can find alternate pathways to return to the underworld!"

They had been trapped in this place since their birth, and all what they longed for was to return home.

"Have we returned to the city where our Mei family resides?" Mei Kai asked, his eyes widening in surprise as he recognized the familiar surroundings.

"I can't help but worry about my little sister!" Mei Rong exclaimed, anxiety evident in her voice. She had spent the last few Meiars in Jiuji City trying to save their father, and her absence had stretched far too long.

"You should take care of your affairs first. I'll wander around the city for a bit and see if anything piques my interest," Xian Yue advised.

"Senior, why not join us at the Mei family estate? I will ensure you are treated exceptionally!" Mei Kai offered.

"I'd prefer to explore a little before visiting your family. This city seems much more vibrant than Feihua City," Xian Yue replied, waving them off as he walked away. He was curious to sample some of the local cuisine and discover the flavors the city had to offer.

"Don't worry, Father; the senior will keep his promise!" Mei Rong reassured her father.

Mei Kai nodded, and the two hurried toward their family estate.

Meanwhile, Xian Yue wandered through the city until he arrived at the largest restaurant—Mingyue Restaurant.

"Sir, please step inside!"

As soon as he entered, he was greeted warmly by the staff. A clean and attentive waiter rushed over with a broad smile, eager to serve.

"Your monthly salary must be quite substantial!" Xian Yue remarked, noting the waiter's cheerful demeanor.

"Sir, you flatter me. I'm merely trying to make ends meet," the waiter replied, chuckling modestly.

Once settled at a suitable table, Xian Yue stated, "Bring out all the famous dishes and wines your restaurant has to offer!"

"All of them?" The waiter's eyes widened in surprise. Ordering everything on the menu would require an immense fortune!

Xian Yue's bold request caught the attention of several patrons seated nearby, who turned to stare at him, their expressions a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

"YEs, all of them. And don't worry; I won't stiff you on the bill. Do I look like someone without money?" Xian Yue smiled confidently.

"Oh, no! The guest is merely joking. You can tell at a glance that you come from wealth. It's just that the quantity you're ordering is quite extraordinary. We require a deposit before proceeding," the waiter explained nervously, aware of the potential financial implications of such an order.

"How much is the deposit?" Xian Yue inquired, wondering if the waiter feared he might dine and dash.

He didn't mind the idea of paying a deposit, as he understood that a restaurant of this caliber would want to protect itself from potential losses due to customers who might not pay.

"If you're sure about ordering all the famous dishes and wines, the deposit will be several hundred thousand spirit stones," the waiter informed him.

When the total was calculated, it could easily reach around one million spiritual stones. Even large factions would hesitate to spend such a staggering amount!

While delicious food could enhance one's cultivation, it was not the ultimate path to power and could not replace genuine training.

The waiter assumed that upon hearing the deposit amount, Xian Yue would retract his bold claim. To his surprise, Xian Yue casually tossed a storage bag in the waiter's direction and said, "Inside this bag, you'll find 200,000 Low Grade spiritual stones, which should cover your deposit, right?"

The waiter opened the bag and his breath caught in his throat. There were indeed a substantial number of spiritual stones inside—hundreds of thousands, easily visible at a glance!

"Dear guest, please hold on for a moment while I make arrangements for you!" he exclaimed before darting off.

The patrons observing this exchange exchanged glances, their eye brows raised in disbelief, but they couldn't identify Xian Yue.

"Senior Brother, do you know where this person came from? How could he possibly produce so many spiritual stones all at once? None of us have that kind of financial capability!" one of the onlookers asked a young man seated at the main table.

"I haven't seen him before. He doesn't appear to belong to any family or faction within this city or its vicinity," the senior brother replied in a hushed tone, maintaining a careful watch on Xian Yue.

Meanwhile, Xian Yue settled into his seat, anticipation bubbling within him as he awaited the arrival of the culinary delights he had ordered. He could already envision the myriad of flavors and aromas that awaited him.
