Immediately, the spoon slipped from her fingers, clattering onto the plate. Zylan lifted his head, his eyes widening slightly at her shocked expression. He hadn't expected such a strong reaction, but if only he knew—Naomi was even more surprised than he was. She hadn't anticipated those words coming from him.
Could this mean he finally trusted her?
From the moment she arrived, she had been strictly forbidden to enter Zylan's room. At first, she hadn't cared—she had her own escape plans. She assumed it was because they weren't officially married yet and that once they were, the room would no longer be off-limits. But even after their wedding, Zylan showed no intention of letting her in.
She vividly recalled the time he had left. When she tried to approach the door, the look on Rylan's face alone told her there was something inside they didn't want her to see.
And now, out of nowhere, Zylan wanted to show her his room.
