Airborne

A few airborne monsters had crossed their path, their screeches cutting through the sky as they charged, eager to make a meal out of them.

On land, it was no better, as predators seemed to lurk behind every boulder and shadow.

But for Grey, these threats were barely a nuisance.

One finger gun blast to the head, and the creatures dropped like flies.

Isaac, who had been strapped securely to Grey's back during these encounters, had initially panicked with every attack.

His screams were ear-piercing, and at one point, Grey had seriously considered tossing the kid off Viscereon if he screamed one more time.

But thankfully, Isaac had gotten the hang of things.

The boy no longer screamed at the first sign of trouble.

In fact, he barely panicked now, even when monsters attacked.

He sat calmly, trusting that Grey would handle any danger.

If things got too dicey, he knew Grey would step in to protect him.
