Thirty minutes ago, Joanna was losing hope of receiving her wedding gown as Alex had promised when they heard a knock on the door.
Her hair and makeup were already done since Jay predicted a delay if they were to wait for the gown before proceeding with other preparations.
Violet was fully dressed and ready, while Joanna felt incomplete without her gown.
Jay and Violet tried to reassure her as much as they could until they heard the expected knock.
Violet went to answer the door, where a man she hadn't seen before, dressed in a suit, handed her a black wedding gown bag.
"You must be the maid of honor. This is for Joanna. Do you mind if I deliver it personally?" the man asked.
It was not appropriate for Joanna, who was in just a towel robe while waiting for the gown, to see the man so, Violet insisted,
"I will take responsibility for it. My name is Violet, her maid of honor. You have nothing to fear."
