"Imperial Family, Mu Clan, Nalan Clan, and the Alchemist Association have sent envoys?"

The hall fell silent for a moment before Hai Bodong frowned. "Those people ignored us when Yun Lan Sect launched their massive assault, but now they suddenly remember to send their regards."

"Heh, they must have caught wind of Cousin Mo Yu's prowess and come to gather intelligence," Xiao Ding remarked, a glint of thought flashing through his eyes before he smiled slightly.

"Given Yun Lan Sect's growing strength, the Imperial Family, Mu Clan, Nalan Clan, and Alchemist Association are undoubtedly under immense pressure. If Yun Lan Sect unifies the Jia Ma Empire, their fate will likely be annexation.

"Now that Cousin Mo Yu has returned with a formidable force, it presents a glimmer of hope for these factions. Perhaps we can negotiate some cooperation with them."

"Not a bad idea. If we join forces, our chances of victory might increase significantly.

"After all, Fa Ma of the Alchemist Association and that old monster from the Imperial Family are both Dou Huang-level experts. The latter, having reached the peak for many years, is an especially potent force," Hai Bodong suggested.

"Perhaps," Mo Yu replied indifferently. While the Imperial Family's old monster and Fa Ma had some strength, the battle power offered by the Nalan and Mu Clans was negligible.

For Mo Yu, the decisive factor in this war would be top-tier combat strength, which required Dou Zong-level experts.

While Dou Wang and Dou Huang-level experts were strong, they played only auxiliary roles and could not decide the battlefield's outcome. Otherwise, Mo Yu would have already mobilized all forces from Yuan Manor.

More importantly, Mo Yu had no interest in ruling the Jia Ma Empire.

Located in the northwest of the continent, the Jia Ma Empire lacked potential compared to the Black-Corner Region. If Mo Yu planned to advance toward Central Plains in the future, using the Black-Corner Region as a springboard was far more advantageous.

Seeing Mo Yu's unconcerned demeanor, Hai Bodong sighed and shook his head. While he didn't know the source of Mo Yu's confidence, his instincts told him that Mo Yu must have formidable hidden cards.

After all, even the renowned Queen Medusa was willing to stand by his side, indicating how much Mo Yu had grown over the years.

At that moment, Mo Yu noticed Xiao Yan deep in thought and said, "Cousin Xiao Yan, you have significant connections with these factions. Why not take charge of negotiating a united front with the Imperial Family and others?"

Mo Yu recalled that in the original story, Xiao Yan had allied with these forces to form the Yan Alliance.

With Mo Yu's intervention, the Black-Corner Region had fallen into his hands, leaving Xiao Yan with no opportunity to establish his own foothold there.

In the current chaotic state of the Jia Ma Empire, it seemed like a fitting opportunity for Xiao Yan to make his mark.

Mo Yu understood that Xiao Yan was not one to settle for mediocrity. Thus, he had never considered recruiting him into his own forces. Since the Xiao Clan had shown him kindness, handing over the Jia Ma Empire to them seemed reasonable.

Of course, at the heart of it, Mo Yu simply didn't think much of the Jia Ma Empire.

Even if Xiao Yan managed to create the Yan Alliance in the future, it would ultimately only become the strongest faction in the northwest. To the top powers in Central Plains, it would still be insignificant.

Hearing Mo Yu's words, a spark lit in Xiao Yan's dark eyes. His mind stirred as Mo Yu's suggestion resonated with his deepest desires.

Years of wandering had tempered Xiao Yan, who was no longer the naive boy he once was. Ambition had taken root in his heart.

Witnessing Mo Yu's legion of formidable experts, Xiao Yan felt both awe and envy. As the Xiao Clan's leader, revitalizing the family was his mission.

If he could seize this opportunity to unite the Imperial Family, the Alchemist Association, and other forces, he might just establish his own power base and restore the Xiao Clan's glory.

Under Mo Yu's gaze, Xiao Yan nodded. "Since Cousin Mo Yu entrusts this task to me, I will not let everyone down!"

"My third brother has won the Alchemist Grand Meeting before and shares close ties with the Alchemist Association. He's also helped Nalan Jie detoxify in the past, so collaboration with the Nalan Clan should be no issue.

"Given his relationships with the Imperial Family and the Mu Clan, I'm confident my third brother can handle this task," Xiao Ding added enthusiastically.

Though Xiao Ding was grateful to Mo Yu, he understood that the Xiao Clan's resurgence ultimately relied on Xiao Yan as their leader.

"Then it's settled," Mo Yu declared. "Xiao Yan and Brother Xiao Ding will handle this matter. Three days—if these factions don't agree to cooperate against Yun Lan Sect within that time, I will lead Yuan Manor to attack Yun Lan Mountain alone.

"But once Yun Lan Sect falls, the Jia Ma Empire will no longer tolerate meddling from these factions!"

Mo Yu's words stunned everyone, including Hai Bodong and the Mite'er Clan members.

It was evident that if Yun Lan Sect fell to Mo Yu, those who watched passively from the sidelines would have no place in the empire.

Inwardly, the Mite'er Clan felt relieved that they had sided with the Xiao Clan.

Yun Lan Mountain, Yun Lan Sect Hall

Unlike the usual lively discussions of unifying the empire, the hall was eerily silent. The once-vocal elders now sat in solemn contemplation.

After a long pause, Yun Shan broke the silence with a cold snort. "What's the situation? Any news from Yun Du and the others?"

An elder nervously stepped forward, his pale face trembling as he reported, "Sect Leader, the soul plates of Yun Du and the other four elders have shattered completely.

"Even the experts from Mu Lan Valley likely suffered the same fate!"

These words sent waves of shock through the hall. Even Yun Shan's face twitched violently, and the gathered elders were left dumbstruck.

Three Dou Huang and a dozen Dou Wang—such a force had been annihilated in mere hours. The loss was too heavy, even for the mighty Yun Lan Sect to bear.

"How is this possible?" an elder exclaimed. "That lineup should have been unstoppable in the Jia Ma Empire. Could the Mite'er Clan truly muster such strength?"

"Could it be that the Imperial Family, the Three Great Clans, and the Alchemist Association have joined forces?" another suggested, prompting many to nod. This seemed the most plausible explanation.

"If they dare join forces to challenge my Yun Lan Sect, then let the Sect Master order their complete eradication—the Imperial Family and the three great clans—wiped out from the Jia Ma Empire!"

"Yes, Sect Master, such provocation cannot be tolerated by Yun Lan Sect! We must make them pay a blood price!"

Clouds darkened Yun Shan's face as he scanned the indignant elders and stewards. Suddenly, his palm slammed against the table with a resounding crack, shocking everyone into silence. Startled gazes fell on Yun Shan, puzzled by the sudden outburst of anger.

"It's not some nonsense alliance of the three great clans!" Rising from his chair, Yun Shan's voice turned chilling. "It's those two little bastards from the Xiao Clan—they're back!"

"The Xiao Clan? Could it be the Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons?"

In an instant, the deeply etched name stirred a memory buried for three years in everyone's mind.

Three years ago, those two boys, not yet twenty, dared to oppose the entire Yun Lan Sect. Though ultimately chased out of the Jia Ma Empire, their wolf-like ferocity had left an indelible mark on countless members of the sect.

Time had dulled the collective memory, but hearing that name again brought the scene from three years ago vividly back to life in everyone's minds.

"The Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons aren't dead?" After a long pause, someone finally muttered in shock.

"Who told you they were dead?" Yun Shan glared coldly at the crowd, his voice icy. "Earlier, I sensed their presence. It seems those two have indeed returned.

"And more than that, their strength has reached the Dou Huang level. Yun Du and the others must have run into them."

As Yun Shan's words fell, a commotion rippled through the hall. Even the previously resolute elder froze mid-thought.

Ascending to Dou Huang in just three years—this level of talent could only be described as terrifying. Were these Xiao Clan brothers truly destined to become legends among men?

In just three years, they had reached Dou Huang. If given another three years, how far could they grow?

This thought sent a chill through even Yun Shan's seasoned heart.

Taking a deep breath, Yun Shan lowered his gaze, suppressing the overwhelming killing intent surging within him.

Those two brats must not be allowed to live. If they were, they would become an unmanageable disaster!

"Sect Master, what do we do now? Shall the Yun Lan Sect mobilize to the capital and annihilate those Xiao Clan bastards?" A white-haired elder suggested coldly.

Yun Shan's brooding eyes flashed with contemplation. Waving a hand to quell the stirrings in the hall, he said indifferently, "No need to go to the capital. Those two brats will come to us. We'll simply wait quietly."

The crowd froze at Yun Shan's words. Though they were dissatisfied, none dared challenge his authority, responding with obedient affirmations.

At this moment, another elder suggested, "Sect Master, we are now allied with Mu Lan Valley, who share a blood feud with that Mo Yu. Furthermore, their Elder Hei Bao and others have likely fallen to him.

"We should notify Mu Lan Valley of Mo Yu's return to the Jia Ma Empire immediately. I believe that upon hearing this, the Three Elders of Mu Lan Valley will not hesitate to act.

"Combining our forces, even the Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons will meet their demise!"

The suggestion sparked unanimous agreement among Yun Lan Sect's elders. Mu Lan Valley, as an established power in the Northwest Continent, far surpassed the declining Yun Lan Sect in strength.

They also marveled at Mo Yu's uncanny ability to provoke enemies. If not for him, Yun Lan Sect might never have gained such a powerful ally.

After a moment of thought, Yun Shan nodded. He added coldly, "Issue the order—Yun Lan Mountain is to enter the highest state of alert. Any trespassers are to be killed on sight!"

"Yes, Sect Master!"

The icy killing intent in Yun Shan's words sent a chill through everyone. Bowing respectfully, they filed out of the hall in an orderly manner.

As silence descended once again, a sinister laugh broke the stillness.

"How is it? Didn't I tell you recently that Mo Yu has been thriving in the Black-Corner Region? His return spells trouble for Yun Lan Sect."

From the shadows, a swirl of black mist materialized and floated in the hall, its eerie laughter echoing.

Yun Shan's face twitched slightly, a malicious glint flashing in his eyes. "Just a brat. Even if he has reached Dou Huang and rallied a group in the Black-Corner Region, it's still a trivial matter for me to kill him.

"Once I capture him, I'll make him wish he were dead!"

"Heh, he's not so simple. There's a certain clan's shadow behind him. Even I wouldn't dare act rashly against him!" The black mist rippled, the voice warning darkly.

"According to high-level reports, do not touch Mo Yu for now. Acting without fully understanding the situation could lead to unimaginable consequences."

Yun Shan froze at these words. Though he knew little about the forces behind the black mist, their origins were undoubtedly tied to powerful factions in Central Plains.

Yet even they feared this young man?

"Then what? Should we let Yun Lan Sect face annihilation?" Yun Shan's face darkened.

"Relax. Mo Yu will be dealt with by specialists from our Hall of Souls. As for you, just focus on taking care of the Xiao brothers," the voice reassured him.

"According to reports, Xiao Yan carries the spirit of Yao Zun-Zhe Yao Chen within him. When the time comes, leave Yao Chen to me. You only need to capture Xiao Yan."

With those words, the black mist rippled and faded, leaving Yun Shan alone in the hall, a sinister smile curling his lips.
